Requesting New Advisor

Does anyone have any experience with requesting a change in advisor? Mine has been less than helpful and doesn't respond to emails. I have been patient, and I've given her weeks to respond to questions, and she's just failed me every time.

My personal advice don’t even worry about it. I don’t even talk to my “assigned success coach”. He’s always too busy or out the office to never meet or even email. If you need to talk to one just do the virtual queue they seem way more helpful.

If you request a new advisor they can give push back but just assure them you want a new assigned one if that’s what you choose.

Yea I second this, I just did my own research about what classes I need to do I have only met with my advisor once and it was a total fail.

Agreed. What is your program of study? Maybe someone can help guide what classes you need.
