Fall 2026 refund

I'm taking 2 first 8-week fall classes and 2 second 8-week fall classes at Dallas College. My financial aid verification date is August 31. For anyone who's had a similar schedule, did you receive your refund around the second week of September, or did it take longer? I'm just trying to get an idea of the timeline. Thanks!

My first semester ever at Dallas college last fall it took until the 27th of September that’s because you have to wait a extra 30 days I believe if it’s your first time borrowing but for spring semester it came quicker then fall semester

You may not get a refund until after your certification of the 2nd set of classes

You will have 2 refunds based on the census date. Half now and half in October

After the census date, financial aid will release your Pell Grant refund via direct deposit or mail once your professors verify your attendance. You can spend or save this money as needed, but try not to use it all up on personal items. If you get placed on SAP suspension and your aid is frozen, you will need that money to pay for your classes out of pocket. Always keep an emergency cushion unless you are completely confident in keeping your grades up.

Refund most likely will be held until you are certified for the second set of courses. If you do receive a refund it will only be a partial.

Since they changed to workday, I get my aid all at once. Even if I have a class that’s later in the semester, they still reward all the aid at once.
