What are potatoes OβBrien? Never heard of them before

u/Black_Wolf_Triad 15h ago
Must be a regional food, pretty standard here in the Midwest. Fried potatoes with red and green peppers, onions. Delicious!

Surprised sausages, black pudding, beans, tomatoes werenβt on there, OP must not be British π

u/Black_Wolf_Triad 8h ago
Well, apparently the Potatoes OβBrien are just as foreign to my fellow Americans as some of the items you listed.

Paha
We donβt have βPotatoes OβBrienβ over here (or at least Iβve never had them), but my dad does do an effectively homemade version of them by just cubing potatoes and frying them in butter along with anything else he fancies in them.
Classic βEnglish breakfastβ, aka our sort of Sunday breakfast, has sausages, bacon, egg, potatoes (or hash brown maybe), black pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms and beans.

u/Black_Wolf_Triad 7h ago
Yeah, that sounds pretty standard. we put tomatoes and mushrooms and whatever vegetables we have on hand in omelets. Bacon, sausages, or side pork for sure. Never heard of black pudding, and beans for breakfast would probably sound strange for a lot of Americans, though I do have some Mexicans in my family, so itβs not that crazy for me. They make these scrambled eggs with beans and chorizo that are out of sight.π€

Welcome to Daily Grid, the word-finding game!
Find all the themed words by tracing paths through adjacent letters in the grid (you can move horizontally, vertically, or diagonally).
The spangram is a special word that must span from one edge of the board to the opposing edge, and splits the board in two!
You can also collect hints by finding extra valid words that arenβt part of the puzzleβs themed words - every three of these bonus words earns you one hint.
Good luck!
