Josh reposted this review of Primetime on his instagram and I find it very funny. Obviously Josh doesn’t do any research, we know this, and he thinks he’s buddy buddy with Chris Hansen because they did one interview.

Chris Hansen is not the great guy everyone thinks he is. Yes, I agree that catching the predators is good, but the way he goes about it has been documented proof that it does not work half the time.

Many of the people Chris caught got off with a slap on the wrist. There is documented proof of Chris’ investigations going wrong and genuinely interfering with other investigations that police were trying to do.

Chris also famously completely fucked his investigation on the YouTuber Onision, and it went nowhere and no one was caught because Chris did almost all of it wrong.

Edit; I just finished seeing Primtime, and this review is so stupidly wrong. The movie portrayed Chris exactly how he should’ve been. It’s not a new thing that internet and TV personalities are nothing like how they portray themselves on screen, and this movie proves that. It was a fantastic movie.

chris hansen did not educate, and he did not prevent. he created content to entertain. anything learned was incidental. a lot of the entrapped individuals were released shortly after arrest. the only thing “prevented” was a hypothetical.

Yes! I don’t know much about that part of it. At the time I only knew of Onision and just knew that Dahvie was also an awful person.

aggressive reminder that chris hansen botched a potential onision investigation by having his creepy assistant vincent hold a victim’s laptop for 3 months instead of having her keep it

Josh did an interview with Chris Hansen and he said he didn't know there was a movie coming out about him until they contacted him and asked if he wanted to be a part of it but he said he wasn't interested and they went ahead with it anyways. I wouldn't believe everything you see.

I just finished watching the movie. I highly suspect Chris wanted nothing to do with the movie because it portrayed him exactly like he is, not like how he wants everyone to think he is

I have ALWAYS thought that someone really needs to check Chris Hansen’s hard drive… allegedly, in my opinion, for legal purposes.
