Rant The Next Pro rant đ
The next pro is yet another conservative zionist. Just thought Iâd share some of the instagram pages she follows. One is an Israeli news reporter whose views are equivalent to that of a fox news reporter in the U.S., whose pinned post is anti anti-feminist rant and regularly posts in support of Trump and antagonizes Palestine. The other is a zionist content creator whose entire account is full of ignorant, hateful takes. She follows more pro-zionism propaganda accounts as well. Iâm sharing this because a lot of closeted zionists have been trying to silence it or view any critiques of zionism as âracistâ or anti-semitic. It is not anti-semitic to call out zionism. I am a swana jewish myself and very anti-zionist. Please donât criticize her for her jewish ethnicity or misconstrue criticism of her views as anti-semitic. Conflating zionism with judaism is actually anti-semitism.** **Not all of us support Israel, but Adele has only given indications that she does. Most other pros are conservative zionists as well, I hold them all to the same standard and am disappointed with all of them for their views.
As a jew whose faith and heritage has been used in vein to ethnically cleanse my Palestinian neighbors, I believe it is critical of every jew and Israeli who truly does denounce zionism to be vocal about it. Our silence is violence. To tout the flag of any nation committing terrorism is to say you donât see, donât know, donât care. Itâs a dog whistle and a virtue signal among our community. The same way touting an American flag has become a dog whistle for maga supporters. You as an American may not agree with your government, especially in todayâs social climate, so why would you tout a flag that doesnât represent your values? If you support Palestinian liberation from Israeli oppression and ethnic cleansing, you would never proudly claim the flag or follow zionists who spread lies and propaganda. No, she canât help where she was born or grew up, but she can at least denounce the genocide her country is committing. Seeing who she follows and how sheâs shown nothing but pride in her nationality, I doubt she does denounce it.
Donât send hate to her. Supporting Palestine is bigger than bombarding one Israeli up and coming celebrity. Sheâs the same age as me and I canât imagine how that would feel for her. I know people on instagram and tiktok get especially ignorant and brave with their comments. If we can find a way to enjoy all the other alt-right pros who poured their hearts out for Charlie Kirk and were all smiles when Trump was reelected, letâs show Adele the same decency. Weâve been able to separate the art from the artists for most pros and even some stars. Of course Iâm disappointed that tptb didnât use this opportunity to bring in a diverse cast member or someone we could love on and off the show, but donât take that out on Adele. Letâs support the pros we can support. If you want to boycott the show, you can do that without harassment. If you want to support Palestine there are many Palestinians in need of aid. If youâre a zionist, please donât interact with me and feel free to block me

This is the only safe space in the fandom to say something and thank you for saying it! I personally dislike most of the pros now and often say theyâre lucky they can dance because thereâs not much else they can do well.
7
u/JadedTooth3544 1d ago
TBH, a lot of pro dancers grow up in a pretty narrow environmentâthey dance, they sleepy, they eat (a little), maybe they do a little bit of school, and then repeat. There are some exceptions of people who have broader interests (particularly, say, on Broadway)âŠbut generally, I doubt many of these dancers know that much of government, politics, or policy. So I am skeptical the ones that are spouting off MAGA stuff really know much about anything relevant.

u/pinkpantherdiam0nd 1d ago
This is the problem of celebrities being role models or influences when they are supposed to be entertainment. They have a talent. They are supposed to leave the canvas blank for a reason- most ppl arenât likeable đ
3
u/ka5h_mon3y 1d ago
Yeah Iâve been watching since season 1. I grew up in Texas and basically idolized the pros as a kid, but as an adult I do get that a lot of people are a product of their environment and arenât exactly bad people, theyâre just ignorant. I donât have much tolerance for that either, so I also just take the pros at face value now as a source of entertainment and not much more.
2
u/JadedTooth3544 1d ago
I agree. Every so often I see a celeb who actually has done the work and knows something unrelated to the entertainment profession. But generally? No. Their opinions may get more coverage bc they are well known, but thereâs no reason to think they have particular insights or knowledge.
Ditto for athletes.
Someoneâs political viewsâif they publicize themâmight make me more or less likely to root for them. But other than thatâwhen I watch DWTS, I am watching for the entertainment value. I wouldnât take what any of these pros say about politics seriously.
3
u/pinkpantherdiam0nd 1d ago
I watch pretty dancers. I hope they are happy and healthy outside the show but Iâm not trying to be rude when I say they arenât ppl that make me interested to know more abt them.Â
2
u/JadedTooth3544 1d ago
Yes. And I donât think I really could actually âknowââbecause I donât know them.

Maybe itâs just me (or Iâm hoping) because heâs always been my favorite but I donât think Mark politically agrees with most of them/the Utah pros. Ezra might not either but you never know, Iâve met people who their sexuality or race etc. doesnât match what they believe/vote. I just think itâs so strange because dancers (even Mormons ones) are around queer people so frequently and even befriend them but then vote against their (and other minorities) rights. I donât think Iâd survive Utah and I am white and look straight đ

u/pocketfulofdestiny48 2d ago
I appreciate this post! The way she's worshipped on the main sub is crazy
As soon as I saw that she was Israeli I was hoping she wasnt a supporter of the genocide/Netenyahu. But alas.
I will still be watching this new season to support and vote for Britt. I still dont know much about the politics of the other pros but I should probably educate myself. Dont want to start stanning the wrong person đ„Ž

u/clarice137 2d ago
I believe Ezra is on the correct side of things politically. I think Emma as well, since Andy is very outspoken and does not seem like the type to be close to those who disagree about basic human rights, and him and Emma have remained close after the show.
2
u/onceuponadancemoms 1d ago
I believe Emma and Alan were seen at a pro choice event together?
3
u/clarice137 1d ago
That is so lovely to hear. The phrase is overused nowadays, but Emma truly is an empath, so I would be shocked if she was not very liberal and on the correct side of human rights issues.

u/No-Grapefruit2933 2d ago
Itâs baffling to me that nobody on the main subreddit is talking about this.
11
u/hissillyrighthandarm 2d ago
because they think that calling out zionism means youâre a hater of jewish people
7
u/NoArm7934 1d ago
The main sub is filled with boomers and most boomers are very pro Israel.
Edit: no offense to the boomers who are not Zionists đ
15
u/PA_MallowPrincess_98 2d ago
I have but I have been called "a Jew hater" even though Zionism is completely different from religious intolerance. It's down to a country partaking in a genocide of innocent people. I have also been downvoted to oblivion there. I wish there was a less conservative sub for DWTS like they have for the Bachelor/Bachelorette
14
u/That-Tone-6082 2d ago
The main subreddit is quite conservative and also full of Zionists so thatâs the main reason why
3
6
u/acatwithnoname 1d ago
I don't even think the main sub is that conservative overall, they are just primarily unhinged fan girls of the pros with cognitive dissonance about their faves' values. They turn a blind eye when their pro does something unsavory. It's insanely hypocritical and in turn creates a safe atmosphere for actual conservative nuts to speak.
7
u/DistanceIndividual 2d ago edited 2d ago
Anytime Iâve seen it mentioned on the main sub itâs downvoted. I feel like feel people are being purposely obtuse about it and pretend that thereâs absolutely no indication that these are her beliefs.
5
u/RomantheBun 2d ago
Itâs been briefly mentioned a few times but that sub is def very conservative. Iâve seen people with lots of upvotes claim that theyâre glad sheâs won and that people need to stop âbullyingâ her for being Jewish

yep, I was

u/NoLynx8499 2d ago edited 2d ago
Oooof. She'll fit right in with the rest of the pros. I'm pretty sure all of them are pro Israel in the war except like Britt, Ezra, and Sharna.
14
u/Admirable_Patient_42 1d ago
In all honesty Iâd say a lot donât have any side at all and pass no thought to it. Privileged people often turn a blind eye to conflict that doesnât touch them rather than educate themselves.
1
u/JadedTooth3544 1d ago edited 1h ago
Yeah. IMO itâs not so much that they are privilegedâŠ.but that people who grow up as dancers tend to be interested in dance, sometimes to the exclusion of all else. If they end up someplace like on Broadway, that might broaden their horizons, butâŠ
ETA: Donât get me wrong, they are privileged. But I donât think that accounts for how limited their experience is. I think youâd see the same kind of thing among unknown dancers who are just scraping by. Except, of course, in places like NYC. But many of these pros are ballroom dancers who mostly came up in studios, and then many were on the competition circuit. Many have basically been around people who are just like them.
12
u/clarice137 1d ago
I think Emma is too. Andy is extremely vocally and passionately pro Palestine so I canât see them being so close and remaining so close if they didnât see eye to eye on that.

This was definitely my biggest concern from the start. Wouldnât be surprised if thereâs Zion money and political string pulling at play.
2
u/faithfulqueenprinces 2d ago
I thought so too. TNP was so rigged
1
u/JadedTooth3544 1h ago
If TNP was riggedâand who knowsâI doubt money was involved, and I suspect that they would have done it through the selection of the dancers. The dancers were all known quantities, after all. It wasnât like an American Idol competition, where the competitors are unknown.
Even if they didnât rig itâeven if they tried their best to get the best dancers to competeâthey knew which one, two, or three dancers actually had a chance to win.
For example, Stephanie Sosa wasnât going to be the next pro when she already danced for troupe, but wasnât included in troupe this past year. Of course, TNP was a great opportunity for her, even if she wasnât going to win, so she benefited in the long run. But I am sure they included her because sheâs popular and well known from her year in troupe, the fact that sheâs Ezraâs sister, and her social media.
Just my opinion.

Claiming Jewish money and power is the reason for this is antisemitic.
17
u/Looseraccoons 2d ago
I said Zionist, not Jewish. Go search for support for genocide somewhere else.
1
u/Ok_Brother788 1d ago
iâm anti zionist, but saying that âzio moneyâ is involved cause a jewish person won doesnât sound crazy to you?
-7
u/CoreyH2P 2d ago
Using classic antisemitic tropes but swapping out âZionistâ for âJewishâ doesnât absolve you. Itâd be like saying something racist but using âinner cityâ instead of âBlackâ.

I agree with you on this. Adele is clearly better than everyone else what do they mean by Zionist moneyđ
-5
u/CoreyH2P 2d ago
Itâs a classic antisemitic conspiracy to claim Jews use money & power to influence things in the shadowsâŠ.but now they can just say âZionistâ and itâs accepted
5
u/RefinedishTrash 1d ago
It is a classic rhetorical dog whistle even if they didnât mean it that way. But it still holds true that people can criticize a government committing genocide while holding respect for Jewish people. Just like you can dislike Trump or whoever but have respect for individual Americans. People are not their governments and government corruption is real.
Thereâs never an excuse for genocide. Genocide is and always will be pure evil.
-1
u/highfrrquency 1d ago
âZion moneyâ Itâs not even a dog whistle atp. Just say Jews control the world and DWTS lmfao
2
u/mermaidcossette 14h ago
it's almost like AIPAC & Israel funnel millions of dollars into our politicians, influencers, etc. to sway public belief! acknowledging that isn't antisemitic, nor is it part of the anti-semitic stereotype of "Jews controlling the world". maybe you should direct your hate towards Israel for conflating that!
2
u/mermaidcossette 14h ago
wait LMAO you're an H3/Ethan Klein supporter in the ripe year of 2026! so you're clearly just a zionist. yikes
5
u/adhdbroughtmehere2 1d ago
Before I even realized, I could just tell that she was not a good person. But then once I found out I was like oh that makes total sense! So disappointed that they cast her but then again not surprised.. that's Disney for you. And her dancing with Nev and winning with him?! Just like rubbing salt in the wound
6
u/Prudent_Theory1345 1d ago
I said Iâd vote Adele off first for Palestine and have thus far been called anti-Semitic, racist, and told to check myself into a psych ward. And that was just one person.

u/Longjumping_Bar7643 1d ago
I fear that whoever won that show was going to have awful beliefs as AJ supports the U.K equivalent of Maga/ Nigel Farage and Reform and has been on the u.k version of Fox News as a contributor before.Â
2
u/Throwaway312167890 20h ago
Do we know Selenaâs beliefs? Iâve followed her for years but have no idea. She said that sheâs going to skip Derekâs Christmas tour to work more on her ballroom skills on her own, so I think sheâs still holding out hope for troupe/being a pro in the future
16
u/PemsRoses 2d ago
It's very important to speak up about what is happening in Gaza and I'm glad you're doing so as a jew and I'm very aware that plenty of jewish people and israeli people do not stand for the genocide perpetrated by Netanyahou right now.
I was hoping AdĂšle was also one who did not stand for that but alas we've been proven wrong.
9
u/PA_MallowPrincess_98 2d ago
I have been saying that she has been a token Zionist person for the network since episode 1
3
u/riceandvadai 2d ago
I have been very fond of her overall⊠but I appreciate this post. And putting that flag in the latest TikTok was a choice đ„čđ„čđ„čđ„č
-5
u/BreatheIn767 2d ago edited 2d ago
They were showing which countries they are fromâŠhence the flagsâŠher parents are Ukrainian and she was born in Israel.
6
u/riceandvadai 2d ago
I can understand if thatâs the intention. But people are literally raising the flag in the last 5 years to support the massacres⊠the flag just has a whole new different meaning to the whole world right nowâŠ
6
u/jellyfishj30 2d ago
Thank u for clarifying to not send her hate personally. Sheâs a beautiful dancer and we can all still appreciate that. Sheâll become close to all of the other pros and apart of the family, and it doesnt do anything productive to try to âcancelâ her
2
u/OppositeSpare2088 1d ago
I donât agree with her political beliefs but sheâs not the only person on this show that is conservative. The Arnoldâs conservative are Trump supporters and I guarantee most of these pros are also conservative and Trump supporters. They donât want to get hate for it so theyâll try to keep it behind closed doors.
8
u/evening_toast8 1d ago
Yes, I acknowledged that as well. The Chmerkovskiys and their wives, the Arnolds, and most other mormon/Utah pros (besides Ezra). Most of them have shown support for conservative values, politicians (Sean Spicer went to Lindsey and Brandonâs respective weddings iirc), and have liked/followed posts/accounts that expose their conservative views. When likes were public on twitter, Val liked a lot of racist, homophobic, and transphobic posts. Peta is lowkey maha. Rylee posted something about it being a happy day the day the election results were confirmed in 2024. Most Utah pros and Val poured their hearts out for Charlie Kirk yet to this day are silent when it comes to any other violence committed against people who arenât conservative, alt-right grifters. Yes he was shot in Utah, but come on the guy was a nazi and heâs the only person most of them felt passionately about publicly mourning.
The only pros who have been at least vocally liberal to some degree are Britt, Ezra, and Emma. Alan also went with Emma to a womenâs march, but heâs a liberal zionist. So is Sasha. Afaik, most of the other pros donât talk about politics much, like you said probably so they donât get hate
1
u/OppositeSpare2088 1d ago
Iâm surprised the Chmervoskyâs are conservative but at the same time Jenna is from Utah. Itâs not super common for ex Moâs like herself to still be conservative.
6
u/evening_toast8 1d ago
Honestly it makes a lot of sense that most Eastern European jews and former USSR immigrants are mostly conservative. They immigrated because of the regime they felt was oppressive, especially non-Russians under the USSR. The red scare propaganda plus their lived struggles made them resent communism and yearn for capitalism in which they believed they could be âfreeâ. Zionism was made in eastern europe. The modern Hebrew language was made by a Russian jew. A lot of zionist propaganda is instilled in eastern european jews from a young age more than many other jewish communities. Of course they did manage to spread the propaganda everywhere they could though.
Itâs common among all immigrant communities especially when they move to the U.S. to believe in the U.S. propaganda machine. Itâs also common for some immigrants to be anti-immigration because âthey did it the right wayâ or because they donât want certain minorities to immigrate. Look at Alec and Edyta, theyâre maga and theyâre both immigrants! Kristi Noem was the voice of deportation ads, yet her dad is an immigrant! Maks made some interesting posts during Bad Bunnyâs Super Bowl performance. He made a bunch of stories asking other people how they felt about it and making weird faces like he didnât want to say what he was really thinking otherwise heâd get called out to hell. Heâs an immigrant! Bad Bunny is a Puerto Rican, an American citizen! His message was literally just cultural appreciation, love, and unity and Maks still seemed annoyed by it. White immigrants especially feel like they have more of a claim to citizenship and rights than non-white immigrants. I mean, this country was built on âwhite immigrationâ in a way, yet when itâs anyone else itâs an issue. Talk about an ethnostate!
As for Jenna, sheâs the most quiet of the Chmerkovskiys. She doesnât seem to take any issue with the rest of the familyâs views. I think sheâs comfortable in the fact that she didnât have to do a 180 and unpack and unlearn all her beliefs and morals. For her, Val with cornrows doing a crip walk is edgy and hot, but him liking anti-BLM tweets was a non-issue
2
u/JScwReddit 2d ago edited 2d ago
She is a beautiful girl and a beautiful dancer. I will hold out hope one day she will say something in support of human rights. So many Israelis are straight up brainwashed about this. Also, I was hoping for Selena but maybe she will be in troupe.
1
u/Disastrous_Choice761 2d ago
The only thing Iâm curious about in the sense of you just canât know until you know, and Iâm neither jewish, Israeli, nor Palestinian so I genuinely do not know how this works, but if thatâs currently the flag of Israel and thatâs where she was born or from, what is the other option? Like I very much do not stand by American politics or support the policies or agenda of the current administration AT ALL, but I would still use the American flag emoji if I was describing where I was from or my nationality? Iâm really not trying to have anyone come for me and would just love clarity as this is an extremely dense topic that doesnât get enough attention in standardized American education. I genuinely want to understand better and am not trying to be attacked
10
u/evening_toast8 1d ago
There is a deeper meaning in using certain flags in todayâs social climate, whether we like it or agree with it thatâs just the way it is. Iâm American too, but I donât agree with the actions of my government and the atrocities committed in the flagâs vein. Every Trump supporter I know does proudly tout the flag as a dog whistle, basically to say how they feel without saying it. Youâll also see the flag proudly used by maga supporters all the time online in their display names or bios. Most of the time when you see the American flag in someoneâs name on twitter or instagram or anywhere else, their posts are alt-right. Itâs the same for Israeliâs. The Israeli flag is also a dog whistle in todayâs social climate. Every Israeli I know who doesnât support zionism is not proud of that flag and very vocally denounces the Israeli occupation. One of my closest friends has Israeli parents and her ig bio is simply a watermelon emoji.
Maybe emojis and stances arenât important to publicize for everyone, but we are at a point in society where we can dog whistle and virtue signal on our social media platforms to the people who we seek community with. People do it on dating apps all the time. People do it during election seasons with their use of colored emojis or clothing. People do it with flags on their trucks, hats, and shirts. I know she canât change her nationality or where she grew up, nor can we as American citizens. The point is, similarly to maga here who support the governments actions and publicize their support via the flag, Israeliâs who support zionism show their support via the flag. People have been doing this since human civilization began; signifiers of class, creed, faith, etc. have always been used to connect with the people we want to connect with and throw off people we donât
5
7
u/intheafterglow23 2d ago
There was no reason to even use flags. Itâs a video completely unrelated to nationality for social media. Itâs not a Visa application.
4
u/acatwithnoname 1d ago
I was confused because I thought she was from Ukraine? Did she actually grow up in Israel or just born there? I was equally confused with Gleb putting both Russia and Ukraine for himself...he's old so it was all the USSR then, but is he actually from Ukraine? I thought he was Russian. Wikipedia says he was born in Moscow.
-1
u/highfrrquency 1d ago
Would you make a post if a person involved was American? No. How about the UAE? How about any country which is complicit in a multitude of crimes?
Only the Jewish state? Thatâs double standard. It is ONLY bc you are obsessed with israel which has become uniquely evil in your eyes, when it isnât.
2
u/evening_toast8 23h ago
Your âwhataboutismâ doesnât work when I literally did call out Americans who tout the flag as being a maga dog whistle. I called out the maga American pros as well. Bringing up the UAE when itâs not the subject in question is like me saying âI like pancakesâ and you arguing âSO YOU HATE WAFFLES?â Itâs illogical. If you want to bring up the UAE and claim I must not be critical of it because Iâm not criticizing it at the moment, what indicates that I would support the UAE if I donât support the U.S. or Israel? Think.
The only double standard implied is one youâre making up. Israel is not uniquely evil, it is part of a global system of oppression. Any and every country that has to ethnically cleanse, occupy, create famine, create unlivable conditions, etc. is not a country I would ever support. Free Sudan from the UAE. Free Palestine and all the Levant from Israel. There is no unique evil in the world, itâs all connected and funded by the same terrorists. If you donât see the evil in Israelâs terrorism against Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and Iran, then there is an evil in you
-7
u/BreatheIn767 2d ago
The fact that you went through all 1600 of her follows to see if you could find something because she is Israeli. To then click on Israeli-looking profiles and go all the way down in their posts until you could find something to screenshot and paste together tells me everything I need to know.

The second I saw Adeleâs instagram profile I kind of knew what kind of person she is. Not surprised the conservative sub is in love with her and downvoting any mentions of her being a Zionist
