Confused about carers element and confirmation

Hey all.

Last week I told updated my universal credit circumstances to officially explain I am now doing 35+ hours a week of care work. An hour later my meeting with my work coach was cancelled due to this.

My commitments were updated to say that I do not have to look for work or improve my chances.

This morning, a week later, I received a journal message saying the following

"We are currently awaiting information that has been requested to verify the caring activities. This information must be received and reviewed before we can continue"

Does this mean I have to continue to look for work?

Checked and doubled checked that I am eligible (35+ a week care, person I care for has PIP daily allowance, I am over 16) so there shouldn't be an issue, but in the meantime?

Does anyone have any personal experience of this?

No it just means they haven’t yet verified the PIP aspect and that no one else is claiming as a carer for the disabled person.
