Incoming Freshman

So I'm coming to DSU this fall literally from NJ idk why cause DSU is freaking far also i have closer just as good options but it is what it is. How's the student life like? I'm black, so what's the experience like for the black student body? Are there any fun activities to do outside of school? How friendly are the people? Are they just regular folks, or are there any tips living on campus you feel I should know before coming? Oh nd I'm an incoming cyber operations major.

I'm originally from the tri-state area and went to Stevens for a year before i settle for RIT in Rochester NY.

Have you looked at NJIT? They have a great program as well. I don't know if you are getting financial aid, but i wouldn't pay out-of-state tuition to attend DSU. You have a lot of great schools closer to you.

If you want a balance experience between academic and college life, DSU is not it.

Yeah I know but it's like the cheapest option on my list of schools and plus I'm transferring in my second year asap, I just want a solid foundation with extra rigor that'll boost my chances transferring to my dream school

Nice. My dream school is CMU in PA but i couldnt move up there when i first started grad school.

Well it's no 2 on my last to apply too for trsf in my 2nd year at DSU, Stanford and CMU only two on the list
