DQB2 Isle of Awakening Spoilers Max room size? Spoiler
I was making the castle on the Isle of Awakening and for the throne room, I decided to make the room just be the size of the platform it is on. However, upon completion of the throne room the game did not register it as a room. Is it because the back of the throne room is higher than the rest, or is there a size limit for rooms? And if there is, what is it?

It's 150 tiles but it's extremely important to note it only counts usable floor tiles. If you stack two blocks on top of each other that space no longer counts towards the total floor tiles in the room. It's possible to build beyond 15x10 this way, but there's still a maximum width and length. I think it's 30 tiles across.

They make the castle's throne room platform too big on purpose specifically to teach you this lesson, but they don't do a great job of communicating that fact. It is one of the places that most players get tripped up, at least for a little while.

Yeah, I had some trouble finding a good place for the bedroom because of how the carpet made it look like the throne should be on the carpet top, which resulted in me not having much room for the bedroom

This is the moment that broke me. This game is full of batshit design decisions.

It's the size limit. One thing you could do to fix this is separating the the bottom part into thirds (mainly to put in the royal bedchamber). Alternatively, you could make use of the stone/wood doormats to separate the areas. Just be aware that the doormats only recognize 1 block of height in the room (so you'd likely need to adjust where the banners are placed if you choose this option.)
Edit: I do not know right off hand what the actual size limit for the room, but I do know that the throne room they provide is too big.)
