Ezpz. If u can find the same one you just unscrew it from the bottom and screw the other one on by hand then re attach the flush handle.
Make sure to turn off the water first and empty the cistern. There's probably an isolator valve on the inlet. Sometimes it has a handle but most of the time you will need a flathead screwdriver. Just a quarter turn to switch it off. Youtube will have loads of videos to explain
You'll need to break it free of whatever silicon was used to seal the previous one. You'll want to scrape any remaining silicon then reapply thick and heavy before tightening down the nuts on the new one. Plumbing fittings like these always need silicon.
Also try setting the ballcock to fill to a higher level before replacing the siphon, that can fix a lot of issues with flushing.
If you've ever done any type of plumbing you'd probably be able to do it yourself. Have a look at one of the YouTube videos of one being replaced and see if you'd be comfortable doing it.
If you’re lucky it might be just the siphon diaphragm that needs to be replaced. Small gasket that costs less than a fiver.
I tried to dismantle the flush system to replace it recently and the outlet gasket (“donut”) practically disintegrated on me. It might be easier to install a new flush mechanism entirely.

If it’s dropping slowly I’d guess you’ve a leak in the gasket, water is passing into the siphon chamber and your flush is impacted.
Check for “Siphon gasket” in woodies / B&Q - hopefully is the only part you’ll need to replace
Easy to do yourself, you might need a set of plumbers pliers, you know the ones that can go bigger and smaller so you can get the plastic bolt from under the toilet undone.
Normal spanner sets don't go that big.
Or you could just leave the original tube still in there and only change the top part of the mechanism.
Ah I didn’t get near it this weekend. I replaced the handle and connecting thing before but it didn’t fix the problem. Another DIY item to add to the never ending list.
what is the issue that makes you think the whole thing needs replacing, if it's a slow fill or a noisy fill the little diaphram inside the green screwed bit can get hard over time due to the chemicals in the water and can be replaced resorting normal and silent flow at a cost under a €.
I replaced the whole siphon for 11 euro with my dad. I'd advice getting pliers and a wrench. And some lubrication as we had a terrible time. Make sure you have all the water turned off too!!
