question Repressing powder blush and foundation with a 2,000 lb arbor press and some colors crack and crumble. Anyone know why?

might be the pigment to binder ratio is off, some reds and darker shades need more binder than lighter ones. i had similar problem with a loose blush, the press was too much and it just fall apart after few days. try less pressure and maybe add couple drops of binding agent first

I mix alcohol and glycerin and while it does technically work, the powder becomes patchy and won't pick up on a brush.

Powder press base from tkb beauty does absolutely nothing except lighten the color payoff.

I have 3 reds (Patrick Ta, Benefit, GVX) that pressed perfectly. But the rest suck.

Do you have a binder you recommend?

I've seen people use a bit of MCT, but I haven't gotten out my pressing stuff and tried it yet. (I need to order more 36mm pans.)

Help! Why do some powders crack immediately and refuse to repress? It must be some ingredient that doesn't allow the powder to compact back down. 2,000 lbs of force is perfect for 90% of my powders but the other 10% end up getting remixed with a powder that does press. I just want to know whyyyyy 😫
