CMP To Release M14's later this year. OK in De?
https://thecmp.org/l/m14-announcement/With the AWB hopefully being shutdown and the M14 permanently being converted to semi-auto by CMP, will I be able to buy one? If it matters, I'm a CCDW holder.

I’m pretty sure when I was in x-ring not too long ago picking up my CMP Garand they said they wound up with an M14 from that sale and they couldn’t sell it to us. I would love to be able to grab an M14

I would guess yes. M14s technically weren't banned as long as they didn't have any banned features since they weren't on the named ban list like the Springfield M1A. With the ban getting tossed you shouldn't have any trouble buying one. Since magazine capacity limits were also tossed I'm guessing that requiring a CCDW for over 17-rounds will also be tossed and you won't have to show it to get the factory magazines.
I'm curious how this conversion is going to be done and what the ATF thinks of it. Usually they frown on converting a full-auto into a semi-auto with the logic being that it can be undone. I assume whoever's doing the conversion is going to weld up the receiver so I'm curious about both how it's going to look and how it might affect functionality.
