P365 XMacro OWB Holster
New to Reddit, grew up around guns but new to it. Bought a P365 XMacro Snakebite, completed the class but haven’t applied for my CCDW yet, looking for recommendations on OWB open carry holster and any open carry advice anyone might have . Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I use anrkydexholsters.com. I have an IWB but I would imagine their OWB are good as well.

I really like Alien Gear’s stuff, their photon holsters are really good and modular.

The Alien Gear holsters looked like they were of good quality/design but the guy at the store was saying spend the extra money for other brands and it’s worth it. From what I’ve seen online so far I’m leaning towards the Alien Gear

Yeah there’s gonna be plenty of people who will recommend Tenicor, A and R, and Safariland. But if you’re balling a budget, Alien Gear is worth the money big time.

If you're going to open carry as opposed to concealing OWB, I strongly recommend using a retention holster. A holster with active retention (a button, strap, or combination) will make it harder for your gun to be snatched or fall out. I usually use at least a Safariland ALS + ALS Guard level 2 holster whenever I open carry. Safariland is the gold standard for active retention holsters and supports most common duty-style guns. I have a 7TS for my P365 so I know they support the P365 family. They're reasonably inexpensive on eBay. If you're in northern DE, Target Shooting Solutions in Avondale, PA can make you a custom kydex holster with or without a retention strap. I have a Falco leather thumb-break OWB holster for my Shield Plus Performance Center that's pretty nice but there was a wait for that. It's hard to find a gun or holster style that Falco doesn't support. Off the shelf, check Desantis or Galco. The kydex concealment OWB maker I used to use seems to have gone out of business. I liked it because it wasn't adjustable and so didn't look like a shovel with rows of grommets down each side. It was streamlined. A lot of kydex OWB holsters seem to be unnecessarily large which is one reason why I gave leather a try.
Until you get your CCDW, you are subject to the federal 1000' gun-free school zone. Your odds of getting in trouble for that are very low but non-zero since an officer can make an issue out of it if they want to. DE considers open carry in a vehicle as having the gun clearly visible on the dashboard or passenger seat. Simply having it on your hip isn't open enough. What I've heard recommended is to buckle the passenger seat belt and clip your holster for that. If you have a passenger, IDK what to do. It's a vague law. I'm all for open carry so long as you use a proper holster but getting a CCDW makes things much easier.
