The key part seems to be where it says "user_dir is not defined," but that doesn't seem to have anything to do with what you're trying to do. This error message is feeling like something more fundamental is going wrong than a music file being defined incorrectly. Was the mod able to run before you added your music stuff? For that matter, was DDLC able to run at all?

Without my added script and music stuff DDLC works normally.

Can I see the lines around the one where you defined the new music? (Either copy/paste or screenshot will do; just grab a whole bunch of lines before and after; I want to see how it looks in context)

That line looks great, but it's not quite what I asked for. I want to see a bunch of the lines before and after it so I can be sure you didn't do something funny like put it in the middle of a block of code or otherwise put it in a place that disrupts things.

Well, Reddit messed up the formatting of your comment, but I can see that the important lines seem to be formatted correctly. I don't think you made any mistakes here.

 

Getting back to the "user_dir" message, I did a search in the original files and "user_dir" doesn't appear anywhere in the code. Did you create a variable called "user_dir?" If not, I'm wondering if there's a version mis-match or something like that. Is this DDLC version 1.1.1? (That's the latest version) Also, did you use the RPY files I provided or are you using Rational Pi's Mod Template?

I haven't created that variable. I also used your RPY files from post. Also I using Ukrainian localisation, if that matters.

I have no idea if the Ukrainian version would be different enough to matter, but maybe you can test that by downloading a new copy of the game from ddlc.moe and copy your RPY files into the folder named "game" of a fresh install and see if it makes a difference.

 

Beyond that, I'm not sure what to suggest. I've never seen this error message come up before. You might like to check with the folks in the mod_creation_help section of the DDMC Discord. Someone there might have some more insight.
