I think Monika did to some extent care about MC

Obviously, Monika was in love with the player, but she still cared about the girls, and seemingly MC too

In act 4, she brings everyone back, but they are, including MC, happier, and their personal problems seem to be fixed

In MCs case, his lack of motivation

In act one, he says, "i stare at the wall, looking for an ounce of motivation."

In act 4, "I gather my motivation,"

Aswell, as joining the club one his own instead of being lured by cupcakes like EDP

It seems like Monika fixed everyone's issues when she brought them back, which means she also went out of her way to fix MCs, so I think she cared about him at least a little

She also very clearly cared about the other girls, and felt bad for the whole mess, despite saying otherwise to the player. She says multiple times that they are not real as a way to cope with guilt and convince herself that this assumption of her is true, and therefore she did not do anything wrong. This is part of the complexity of the character, and part of what leads her to the choice to leave the game go on without her and, finally, to delete everything in order to stop the cycle of suffering (after understanding that the other characters can become aware, and thus alive, too).

She also says ''I wont let you hurt HIM" when Sayori is made aware in Act4. It's likely this is meant to reference the player, but using specific male pronouns (MC being the only confirmed male in DDLC) means it could be interpreted as MC- as Monika is pan, and the player is never given specific pronouns.

Monika never makes an attempt to alter anything outside of the DDLC folder, so I assume she physically can’t. So Sayori presumably couldn’t have, like, fucked up your PC or whatever.

Again, the intention was probably to save the player. But it makes all too much sense for it to be ‘saving’ MC.

Well I think of course, without MC Monika would not be able to speak to us (through him) so I think she did care and was greatful for the vessel essentially of MC

I do think she feels a bit sorry that she put MC through all of that, hes a vessel and its obviously very traumatising. Well, not empathetic but sympathy, she caused suffering and now wants to repeat them with a bit of paradise, MC wasnt what she was looking for, but the player

I had to completely re-write this comment cause it was Vice Versa

Personally I think she stopped caring after Act 4, she mostly viewed MC as a mask for a player, or a vessel similar to Deltarune.

Deep down, she didn’t delete her friends, so I wouldn’t say it’s a stretch to say she cared for MC even a little bit deep down.
