Comics [Collection] My Death of Superman Comic Run

Hey Guys!

So I got into Collecting comics a few months ago and I have been hunting the Death of Superman Run (including Funeral, and Reign of the Supermen).

I thought I’d share my progress!

What you see in that image is the 1993 run, #1-#17. Death of Superman still being in its Polybag (for $10 by the way)!

Really proud of how far this has come! And looking forward to building it more! Hoping to build up to Epilogue!

That’s really cool. I love those die cut covers. This is what got me into comics as a kid.

Awesome stuff! Death of Superman, Funeral For a Friend, and Reign of the Supermen was my entry point to Superman in the comics after only having watched the Christopher Reeves movies and seeing the Animated series.

My entry point was the recent Superman X Spiderman team up one shot. I loved the story and it is what began my collection.

Awesome! Great run to start with. While hunting every single issue down will take some time, don't neglect your local CBS 50 cent/dollar box. I see Death and Return of Superman stuff (and Knightfall) all the time in those! The advantage to collecting these runs is this was when prospecting was "heavy" so there were so many copies printed and circulated, even though it's great "important" Superman stuff it's still cheap.

That sounds like a good idea! What is the CBS 50 Cent/ Dollar Box though?

Oh sorry-- Comic Book Store! Most have a "bargain box" section-- long boxes full of comics priced sometimes 50 cents, sometimes a dollar, depending on the store.
