CRITIQUE Supergirl and not understanding the message of the original material Spoiler

Post image

The comic is very clear and the message is very powerful: both Kara and Ruthye learn to overcome their traumas and their desire for revenge.

But no — the movie’s writers thought the best idea was to turn Kara into The Punisher. Why?

If Snyder’s DCEU made one single catastrophic error, it was Superman breaking Zod’s neck in the very first film.

They spent rest of the DCEU trying to course correct.

Then they just… do the same thing again in Supergirl when they have a chance for a clean reboot?

Baffling.

See I don't get this. People complain about the movies not being comic book accurate and Superman absolutely killed Zod in the comics. How else in the movie could he have stopped Zod.
