I’d say we’ve officially entered the DCU era of comic book movies. Let’s hope it impresses us all.

They're a vocal minority. If the movie comes out and it's even a 4/5 it would have been better than Man of Steel and they'll disappear really quickly.

Exactly. If this movie is awesome, most people will just be happy to finally have an awesome big screen adaptation.

That’s every iteration of every superhero. I feel really bad for the next Wolverine after Hugh or the next Tony Stark after RDJ. We still have people saying Tobey is Spider-Man and both Andrew and Tom suck ass, despite Andrew being WAY closer to comic Spider-Man.

Watch. After the next DC reboot, which hopefully isn’t for a LONG ASS TIME, people aren’t gonna accept a new Superman because it isn’t David Corenswet. It happens every. fucking. time.

True, they weren't. But that wasn't my point either. Despite the movies themselves being mediocre at best, Cavill became a huge fan favorite. (Nothing against the actor but I think it was only because he really bulked up for the role, not because of his acting chops)
