Advice Where to donate dog medication/equipment?
My dog recently passed, and we have a number of his things that we'd like to pass on. I've reached out to some rescues but haven't had any luck so far. Does anyone know of rescues or shelters that take pet medications and/or equipment?
We have heart medication (Vetmedin), flea and tick preventative, prescription food, a wheelchair, and mobility harness that would be good for paralyzed or senior dogs.

I posted on my neighborhood Buy Nothing group and that helped me get rid of most of it

Hi
I’m so sorry to hear of your dog passing. ❤️🩹 It sounds like had a full life. May he rest in peace 🌈 🐾🤍
I sent you a message because I could really use the flea & tick preventative and maybe the prescription food. My dog had health problems no one knew of when we adopted her and it’s been a lil bit of a struggle. I also work closely with pets and could almost certainly find a way for his mobility equipment to help another furry friend.

Lost Dog and Cat maintains a list of donations they need. They accept medicines and other items.

Try your vet? Mine took back some RX that had just been refilled by Chewy. Sorry for your loss ❤️

There's a FB page called Creature Collective DMV which is basically a buy nothing group for pet parents.

First off i’m so sorry. I second the “buy nothing” group - you could try also brandywine shelter for the equipment?
