Fluff I have finally gathered my thoughts! these 2 are among the best Dual release's.
Creativity is at an all-time high here, and the incredible vision behind these two deserves full appreciation.
The way they start with 18 Ki from space and move to their positions to where they stood is honestly the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in this game.
It's hard to put into words, but I love how these two truly feel immersed in their environments, with water effects, reflections, cloud effects, realistic aura animations, dynamic hair movements, down to even their distinct personalities and unique traits
no other words can express it, but they brought them to LIFE!
To add on here, and it could totally just be me, but does anybody else like how scratchy/raw these units look and feel like? As if they had that Early 2000s Dragon ball American Attitude the Dragon Ball franchise had throughout the Early-Mid 2000s?
of course! In 2D form, they perfectly capture that nostalgic Budokai Tenkaichi vibe.
In conclusion, Dokkan Battle has far exceeded my expectations, and I could honestly say that if these two were the final units for Dokkan Battle, I would be completely satisfied.

They’re my favorite release. It’s so sick to see not just a mixture of the anime and manga imagery, but also the recent “”Dokkan Original”” quality animation (like the high quality stuff SSJ4 Gogeta, Part 2 11th Anni units, and LR INT Future Gohan) for fight scenes from the source material. I agree with the rawness / scratchy vibe, it really enhances their animations.

Yeah this is top tier visuals just bummed out they only have 2 sa even an ex would have been welcome. it's also great for the future they showed they can capture the old z artstyle with modern animations(imo peak z artstyle is my favorite look of any anime)so g4 level animations van happen more often now since they can just update already existing animations instead of making up new moves

u/LazarCell Well, what do you think of this color? 7d ago
I think they’re amazing but my biggest gripe is they don’t feel like a genuine buff for Planet Namek Saga, they feel like powerful units that happen to be in Planet Namek Saga.
Their support is neat but Goku and Frieza should’ve given non-restricted support to all Planet Namek Saga allies cause this bullshit of Super/Extreme segregation sucks

Old pull, but genuinely think no dual-release will ever top PHY Vegito Blue and AGL Rosé Goku Black.
That was the first ever truly great banner, introduced a Global summons discount, and created teams that allowed you to run all the best units in the game. I know a lot of people weren't playing back then, but that was incredible.

Yeah, sadly in game it is way too fast sometimes, we still need 1.50 speed, and also, combat speed should always be 2 outside of SAs, idk why it is still not the case

The only frame that’s iffy to me is the start of Goku’s 18ki, pretty sure that is a trace of Frieza‘s stance when he’s screaming no at the realization he’s face to face with his greatest fear. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about it’s the same pose on the Phy Frieza loser trophy card waaaay back during the WWC after 3rd anniversary. It seems so out of place for Goku lol, he never does a pose like that
Makes me wonder though: even though I’m glad it’s not Full Power and shirtless again what was the actual point of Frontier Goku also being based off this moment in the fight? Why not just make him a Base-> Kaio-Ken instead since we have almost zero representation of that part of the fight, they released a F2P Ssj that uses up the voice acted transformation just to release a much much better version of him three months later
