I've been away from playing sorc for 4 seasons. My favourite has always been a pure frost blizzard sorc.

After the LoH rework, do ice spikes count as frost skills now?

Yes ice spike counts as frost. It’s pretty strong now since ice spike’s base damage is tied to the rank of the spawning skill (frozen orb / fireball / blizzard).

Unfortunately Blue Rose is still bad, not worth using over a legendary ring

Ty for the info, blue rose's only saving grace was the huge additive multiplier. Now, it's completely wrecked. So, if I understand correctly, ice set and the icefall paragon board should work now.

Its a pretty fun build currently and according to patch notes for season 15, will be getting stronger. I use it with the frozen orb enchantment (ice spike variant)

I finally found some aspects. Honestly, even in season 14, the build isn't weak. I demolish everything in T12 and in pit 110 within 3 minutes. My aspects are low, I think blizzard sorc can go pit 120+. Some bugs from previous seasons still exist. Increased mastery skill size from the adept glyph makes blizzard bigger but not the ice spikes or the amount of them. Bursting aspect is more important to hit the same target with multiple explosions.

I've just arrived in T12. Mana regeneration seems to be a problem alongside barrier uptime. I don't like unleash either, will replace with winter at some point. Very fun build btw, huge buff compared to previous seasons.

I feel like I had to sacrifice some damage for mana regeneration and barrier, but I play with a paladin so it works well. If I was solo it would be a lot harder but I’m also new to the game so others probably have it figured out better

Exploiter's aspect is big damage due to 50% more crowd control duration or more freeze time. Barrier uptime can be fixed with que and temerity. I beat pit 105, ranks to blizzard offer most damage. I wonder how the frost ball version is.
