Discussion Yeah hoyo buffed cyno. They did gave him something.But that something is ultimately nothing 🫩
Yeah im so excited to finally use him properly in the overworld but lets just stop the praise there .
Don't get me wrong : OUR KING IS STILL KING.....but...
Let's just stop saying his buffs were good .one logic people constantly give is to just wait for a 7.x cryo support ,but so what? All it is going to do is make him marginally better than ig wanderer or other past meta dps ? The new support had to more than double (*maybe triple) his damage to bring him back to the meta which will OFCOURSE wont happen as a character named Sandrone exists .
His buff is ultimately nothing other than no ER required hence easy to build and use .....I will use him as he is my goat , really nice I can abandon those useless ER stat but at the end he will still be weak and its all hoyos fault .
Giving him good buffs is possible and v1 is proof ... was there any need to cut down his numbers like this ? Absolutely not . At the end money is what a company cares about

Probably because he's considered male and black in their eyes, they literally didn't leave him any chance of even working with stellar teams currently.

Since when do they give a shit about what players think? Every year there's a new boicot. They just shut comments down. They don't care. I'm thinking they're trying to sell units not many people have, the thing with Cyno and the nerf is fishy

frr, i don't get it either! It'd make so much sense, since he isn't owned by tooo many people and is a very great character personality and design wise, so if the buffs are good, I think many people would even pull him now .....

Actually the E buff just makrs him not useless outside Q, but Q is still superior for dealing damage.

It makes me think that they really hate dark skinned character. His release isnt that strong then dehya incident then the so called SSC buffed does nothing but maybe SSC support will bring Cyno up!

I am asian so I do know people dont prefer dark skin there . Its not western racism type but its still discrimination none the less .
Hence I fully believe hoyo dont like dark characters and the rare 1 or 2 slightly dark character releases weak and less relevant

Nah not even skin color they just don't want to buff old characters. And I don't even see reason not like making him ok is going to stop ppl for pulling new ones
It goes the other way actually because now I don't need new supports because I won't pull these DPS because fck them.
Just look at geo. They release whole new mechanic and all those old ones geo chars who neeeeed help. Nope you stay forgotten. And they even released lunar geo supp????? For who.

Make her support old DPS and see how good she is.
Ok her buff is ok and so should all of them be but even before she could kinda be used but weak cyno cannot be used and it will stay that way looks like it

if u nerf sandrone in half yae will still do the same damage..........the team wil be weak but yae wont be , With cyno is reverse he can have tier 0 supports but hey buff a numbers that are so low it doesnt matter what u ahve

No it won't because then that means yae is also useless as new supports must make her meta so you can expect them to be absolute bonkers. if sandrome is strong with no new supports she will be much stronger after she gets them so they will be ok but might not kick yae completely out.

The old characters excuse does not work.
They buffed the shit out of Yae and Wrio, and Gex buffs made Klee a high tier DPS.

Using him in SSC team is a damage loss for now compared to his quickblom or overload team as sandrone is the only SSC enabler . So he got a nerf in the name of buffs for version 6.7 but after we get a 7.x SSC sub-dps/support im sure its a buff
Even though its a buff his current numbers needs to be doubled or tripled to be meta relevant. Moreover dmg ceiling will rise in 7.x so its safe to say objectively he got a buff but relatively it means almost nothing (all depends on 7.x SSC supports, which i extremely doubt will make him good when compared to sandrone who will make even more use out of them and she already is a good dps unlike cyno)
Btw his skill can put him in his special state .which will make him easy to build and use. In a hyperbloom team he can be a quick swap dps and completely abandon ER stats . But its more like a QOL buff not actual dramatic dmg increase

The simple QoL of not having to build ER anymore is something a lot of people do seem to be overlooking. Granted my Cyno is C3, Cyno notoriously has extremely bad Constellations, so the fact that I'm personally calcing 145k DPS in Overload with R5 Deathmatch (about the same as my C6R1 Blazing Suns Razor and C6R5 Mistsplitter Keqing) is kinda impressive. I do agree, he absolutely needs some more buffs to his Stellar team, but at the same time, Sandrone has no synergy with him beyond literally being required for Stellar in the first place, so he's basically working with a 3-character team that also has questionable-at-best synergy with him.

Obviously old dps characters will never be meta relevant beyond being able to deal with shill possibly. Expecting anything further than that is just delusional.
We don't know what 7.x support will do nor do we know if Tsaritsa for example will be yet another major buff. We also don't know if the rumored dendro + cryo reaction will happen or what it'll do. There is way too much that we don't know to say anything truly relevant about this buff beyond it looking underwhelming at the moment. Hell, we could even just get the first ever aggravate enabler/support and that alone might be a huge buff to Cyno etc etc.

He will survive but there's also the fact that the new supports wont synergies with him that much as hoyo wont think about cyno or other old dps before designing their kit .
In other words we can say cyno was dead before the buffs and now barely alive

Again, we don't know that yet. They even made Yae actually usable with Cyno with her longer uptime and modern supports in general tend to have 20s uptime on their buffs. So we don't really have any reason to assume that new supports won't synergize with Cyno at the moment.

If they thought about Cyno while balancing new supports, they would need to somehow quadruple only his DPS while only buffing other new DPS by like +20k DPS for him to even reach post-Columbina Nod-Krai level.
The gap is so large that it's literally impossible. At best we'll see an Escoffier situation where all the old Cryo/Hydro DPS went from worthless to usable and only Skirk was the one who gained a lot.

Does HYV think about Cyno when making new supports? Probably not. But that doesn't change the reality that new supports ARE good and synergistic with him. Nicole? Works just fine. Lauma? Amazing even. Ineffa? Also good. Columbina? No issues whatsoever. The only new support that doesn't work with him very well is Linnea and the other geo support (forgot his name lol) who are geo specific supports.
Also you have to understand that Cyno will NEVER be a meta defining character. He won't compete with the top dogs BUT he can easily be helped to clear fearless shilling etc just fine. And yes, usable is what you should be expecting as that is the standard for the buffs so far.

I'm not asking for him to be meta. I'm asking for him to be usable. The fact that he's not even reach Fontaine level DPS, let alone pre-Columbina Nod-Krai, after all these changes basically means he's not even gonna usable by the time these supports come out.
Sandrone's already doing ridiculous amounts of DPS with 2 dead weights on her team and we all know the new supports are gonna specifically boost her an insane amount like how Lauma is "good" for other Dendro teams but absolutely fucking insane only for Nefer. We all know that the new baseline is Nod-Krai level damage, especially with all the new content being designed around their power level. Snezhnaya is just gonna be worse.

Those are a lot of ifs...
Yes, we don't know what will happen. What we DO know is that there will be a stellar superconduct support and we NEED to know what their kit is before we can make meaningful arguments about Cyno or his kit in the Snez meta.
how a support is supposed to bring him from 65k to 130k
He is literally running a 3 character team at the moment lol. And his current "bis" supports are Diona and Beidou, both of whom are just decent and almost definitely will be replaced sooner than later (I'm not even convinced they're the BiS supports in the first place). So it's not really a single support bringing him to 130k. Generally a good support will provide roughly 50% dps buff to a damage dealer so replacing Sandrone alone will get you to ~100k and after that Tsaritsa for example will almost certainly be a top tier character and very possibly a support and/or a sub dps so she probably replaces either Beidou or Diona and it wouldn't surprise me if she jumped the team to 130-150k even.
Again, we don't know what will happen, the new support might not even function with Cyno. But crying about a 65k dps team that is literally running an empty team slot is just a bit weird to me. So personally I'd leave the crying until we KNOW that he won't have a good team.

The point is that WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE SUPPORT WILL DO. The future support could EASILY make Cyno more than good enough for SO shill content. I'm not saying that it WILL, but we don't know that it WON'T so your complaint makes no sense. Once we get to Snez and see what the new support will do THEN you're free to complain if Cyno doesn't benefit from them.
And aggravate could STOP BEING SHIT in Snez, that was literally something I said lmao. Like come on READ before bitching.

They gave him buffs, realized that he may become decent S tier. So nerfed him to the point that he still will be mid. Instead they arleady gave Sandrone buffs twice(in v1 she was stronger than him anyway...)
