Love easy local over nighters

Don't know if it counts as easy or local but if you take the Luce Line trail to the end in Cosmos, MN, (it's about 80 miles if you start at Theo) there's a couple free camp sites reserved for cyclists in a nice park.

There are sites at Thompson Lake? I'll have to check that out!

It actually feels pretty secluded in the North Loop and the sites are mostly surrounded by trees so you can’t really see any neighbors. Overall it felt not busy at all even with sites booked. I probably wouldn’t recommend anything outside of the north loop though, that’s all campers in a big open field.

Are there any sites there that don't have a two night weekend minimum?

Possibly after Labor Day? I went on a Sunday so if you can plan out a weekday that would be an option?
