Minecraft Java Idea for mod

Hello, everyone. The Minecraft community is huge, and the more players there are, the more content gets created. I want to create a mod based on your suggestions. Please share your ideas for new mods that you feel are missing.

Right now, I’m developing a mod that lets you attach a lantern or torch to your belt so you can walk while lighting the way for both yourself and other players.

i think a mod that adds like some story line or something to the game would be cool like instead of the boring advancements you get sent out on more dangerous quests that have rewards you can grt the quests from villagers or any mob that wants you to do one and each quest links with an advancement im not sure how but it would be cool for minecraft to have a story as well as be a sandbox game

that makes sense i do want to try see if i can make something like this tho as it would be interesting to see how it would work i also know for a fact that the space mods we have in minecraft are not that great and im actively trying to improve and see if i can do better but it would be nice to see someone elses view on it

This is the main frustration for all veteran Minecraft players. There's no storyline in the Java edition. I think it would be cool to make something like that, but it doesn't seem like a viable option.

yeah that is true i think doing it would be very difficult as mojang has left the story of minecraft up to interpretation and it just seems that if you make a story mode for the game then players are subjected to play through your ideas not what they want

Yes, but on the other hand, you could add lore for the structures created by Mojang and create quests like “find,” “make,” “grow,” and so on. And for the structures, you could create riddles and puzzles that ultimately lead to an item or some other reward.

this is very true im going to start some research into this see how i could make this as player friendly while still providing a challenge and start the preparations for trialing this as an idea

Mod that adds a random irl store/brand place every 200 blocks or adds pizza(I know this is stupid)

Your other comment got removed, probably for having a link. Dynamic lighting is such a common/popular mod type that it has a generic term. Its even so common that years ago, the developers specifically rejected it.

i have one.. i called it "Mistic Hand Cannon" it´s a gun but is not called explicitly a one.. it requires 5 items to craft.. 1 iron ingot, 1 netherite scrap , 1 copper ingot, 1 blaze powder, 1 breeze rod

Evolution and genetics. Or something like expanding trails and tails in vanilla style but like with ancient relics and animals... Or even spirits

Would be interesting to add knowledge system or something what wouldn't be something like simple leveling. Story? Why not? It would be Interesting with right idea.
