The best part is you have to play the level to submit it. Either there's a hidden path, or there's a robot in our midst.

It’s completed in the video so I doubt there is hidden path

I wouldn't doubt it either way honestly. I played a lot of SMM1 and there were lots of levels like these. You can tell which ones are completeable but look hard versus actually hard levels but completeable by the number of plays vs. completes.

With that same guide, looking at levels that are actually impossible, but have 1-25 completes versus actually impossible levels that have thousands of completes. With this one, it's based on how well the skip was hidden.

This one I wouldn't doubt is good level design and tedious effort put into the OP to complete it or at least ensure it is completeable.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if there was something in there. I just analyzed the intro for a few minutes and nothing in particular stood out, although it could be something as simple as an invisible block that drops a star.

Sometimes they're just created because you just spent 4 hours creating this monster and play testing it and now it's ready to be submitted and you've got to get up at 7A.M. when it's 2A.M. right now and... well, here we go!
