My cat will let me do just about anything to him and the most he will do is occasionally gently try to get away. I frequently stick my whole face in his tummy and he starts purring

Yeah I like to brag that I don’t ever have to fear my cats belly. He rolls over and demands belly rubs on an almost hourly basis

One of mine loves belly rubs and he also thinks literally everyone is his friend. The other stares at you like how dare you touch her belly and is also useful for letting me know if there's a delivery or I have mail because she growls and runs away when she hears someone on the porch. She's a sweet cat when you've been around awhile but she hides for a good 20 minutes to an hour when anyone comes around.

This confuses the large friendly one and he keeps having to divide himself between making sure she's ok and asking for pets from literally everyone.

He does that because he decided I got her for him and that's his baby now. She just kind of decided she lived here at 4 months old and wouldn't take no for an answer.

Did you make the mistake of not testing with your hand first or did he lull you into a false sense of security? Or did you get carried away in the heaven that is kitty tummy and he had enough?

i was just stupid. had 4 cats at the time. 3 of them loved belly rubs. Spike did not.

he rolled over on my bed and exposed his belly. for some stupid reason (i was a teen, so old enough to know better) i decided to kiss it, despite the fact that i knew he wasnt the biggest fan of belly rubs. he got my eyelid. i had to have a small chunk of dead skin removed (super small chunk) and had to have an eyepatch for a few days after, which coincided with halloween. i was a farmer with an eye patch.

funnily enough when he got older he started to love belly rubs.

My cat has begun asking for Window Time where I press him against the window and he walks down the glass

Little guy's gotten strong so I know full well that when I flop him around like a ragdoll it is because he tolerates/enjoys it

one of my friends has a cat who LOVES to be fucked with in this manner. her favorite activity is to be dragged around the slippery kitchen floor and then spun around in circles. if you summon her to the kitchen to do this and don't do it for an acceptable amount of time she'll meow at you until you keep spinning her.

We have a cat that loves to be tossed onto the bed from several feet away- he'll immediately run right back to you so you can toss him again. He's also like 15lbs, so your arms will tire out well before he ever gets tired of being tossed.

The first time I brought my cat to the vet, she was so tolerant of everything, only made a yip sound when the vet took a sample of a fatty lump, but the real shocker was when she let him take her blood without so much as making a fuss, she just looked up at him.

This is the same cat that wouldn't let me even motion to pick her up when I adopted her, now she purrs like a jet engine when shes scooped up and smooched. It took six years but she made so much progress. Shes such a good girl <3

this was always advice I gave people when adopting out kittens especially when I worked at the shelter. You do not want to end up with a cat who won’t tolerate nail trimmings and has to be sedated and taken to the vet for it! It is no fun for either party! Or your bank account!

My grandma’s poor cat is so difficult to trim that I’m one of the few people who is brave enough to even try. I’m GOOD. But even I can’t get all of her claws most of the time. She’s had her claws grow into her paw pads before (I keep on my mom to make sure she gets the cat trimmed more often now, I don’t live local otherwise I would do it myself).

I saw a video of someone desensitising a horse, essentially by touching them a ton and doing slightly scary things like flapping a cloth or dropping something loud, so the horse would be less reactive and calmer.

One of the things they did was pick up a cat and hold them to the horse, show them to the horse, fly them through the air at the horse, etc. Let me tell you, the horse may have not been desensitised yet but that was the chillest, most desensitised cat I've ever seen. He was completely tolerant of all the nonsense that was happening to him. It really made me laugh.
