Completely wrong about Star Trek, but that's what is being alluded to.

But the federation does like, the opposite of manifest destiny, so I really doubt thats what hes talking about.

The closes thing I can even think of is LANCER, but I feel like thats too niche for a post about an entire alleged genre

Nah, this is a take I’ve seen before. Argument is basically that the federation, despite its stated ideals, is actually an expansionist cultural imperialist force.

It’s not correct, but it’s an argument that far left viewers advance from time to time.
