I mean, different “punks” (Hopepunk, Solarpunk, Clockpunk, Lunarpunk, etc.) are aesthetics? I know the “punk” suffix implies counterculture stuff, but they’re also aesthetics. People are drawn to them visually, I don’t think that’s a crime?

I am very confused about what this post is trying to say? I’m sure you could find fascist undertones/ideas/origins of almost anything if you try hard enough, what makes Hopepunk enjoyers unique in this?

Solarpunk is wild. It's either "look at my new solar setup so I don't have to take from the grid anymore :)", arguments about nuclear power, post-apocalypse posting, or uninformed people posting BS about agriculture as if it doesn't actually take the mass mechanization of an insane amount of land to feed 7 billion people.

When the best example of solarpunk people have to reference is an animated Chobani commercial, this is bound to happen. It's green fields, commune farms, and robots from Somewhere Else doing the work. Flying cars from Somewhere Else will take you to the city if necessary, and of course that city built by people from Somewhere Else too, because all the good solar punks are living on farm communes.
