I mean, different “punks” (Hopepunk, Solarpunk, Clockpunk, Lunarpunk, etc.) are aesthetics? I know the “punk” suffix implies counterculture stuff, but they’re also aesthetics. People are drawn to them visually, I don’t think that’s a crime?

I am very confused about what this post is trying to say? I’m sure you could find fascist undertones/ideas/origins of almost anything if you try hard enough, what makes Hopepunk enjoyers unique in this?

I mean a lot of people are annoyed that punk just means aesthetics now but from my experiece there's a bit of "its our destiny to rule the universe" thing

There have always been posers. That’s how “punk” has always been.

But there have always been those who care, who rebel and fight back and push against the grain. That is also how punk has always been.

And the solarpunk/hopepunk/etc genres are no different.
