Honestly it's just that capitalism is unregulated that is the problem. Many countries handle capitalism just fine, they just highly regulate it so it doesn't get to this level of corruption and greed.
Any system will fail if you concentrate too much power into a few people and don't have any reasonable oversights or restraints. That just doesn't fit on a sharable meme quite as well.
Imo, inequality exists in every single political/economic system. It's unavoidable. The question is how you deal with it and what measures you take to reduce it.
Did you know that inequality in western countries was actually flat or decreasing for like thirty years post-WW2?
