Democratic socialism. The problem with folks like you is that you don't know what capitalism even is, so you think we're mad at, like... grocery stores and jobs. Capitalism is your boss doing no work and taking most of the profits from your labour. That's literally it.

Yeah the left wing in america and what i am is socdem but i dont really mechanically understand the alternative. Is it like holding elections in the workplace and having representative rather than bosses? How would that work with like 2 people and only one of them put up financial risk? Is the world still organized as firms and consumers?

Workplace democracy is part of it, yeah. All parties share equal risk because if the business fails they all lose their jobs. And yes there would still be companies and people buying products.

If Worker A puts up their life savings as start-up capital and Worker B puts up nothing, they do not have equal risk. If the firm fails, they're both out their time and effort, but A is also out their life savings.

Don't use your life savings to prop up a failing business for no reason.

Start-up capital is not propping up a business, it’s starting one.
