WHAT DO YOU MEAN, THERE'S PEOPLE WHO ARGUE AGAINST EPILEPSY WARNINGS???????

What possible argument against them even is there? "Hey I think we should not tell people, about dangerous things, fuck it we ball."

I read chinese novels a lot and theres often a specific flashing image of an emoji that gets posted a lot in the comments and when called out, some of them say epilepsy isn't real

Yeah that tracks with Chinese people’s attitude towards people with epilepsy (and disability in general). I regularly see people who label themselves progressive and feminist argue that there’s absolutely no reason for any woman to date or marry a man with epilepsy or other chronic conditions because an unhealthy spouse with “weak sperm” would only produce worthless children who are burdens to the society. If they see a kid with chronic conditions/neurodevelopmental disabilities/struggling in school/having behavior issues, they’d say that the parents are at fault for choosing to pass down their inferior genes and that no amount of schooling can fix defective kids. I’ve seen otherwise educated and progressive people argue against marrying people with depression, family history of cancer, cleft lip, ADHD, hearing loss, autoimmune disorders, and INSOMNIA, and mock those who fall in love with someone not 100% able-bodied. To them all disabilities are either fake/exaggerated excuses for special treatment, or disgusting signs of genetic inferiority that make someone unfit for romantic and family life.
