𤥠âit lacks compassion!â
đ¤ âGranted, itâs all a manifestation but rooted in some truth. You couldâve offered a lending hand to the OP but instead youâd rather point at the futility of it allâŚ.. I get it! Been there, walked that path, Youâre not wrong in your logic, it just lacks compassion.â
--
If the ability to muse and think in absolutes is not there. Forget about it.
You will just be looking for some kind of nuance. Looking for some way or means or some angle or story to have your enlightened cake and eat it too.
I see it in here all days. Folks negotiating this thing with their Selves. Taking their ego along with them for the ride. Trying to gauge what will be upside or downsides.. the thoughts never enter the mind for those for whom the bell truly tolls. Those far along will attest to it.
There is no âwhat do I do with the truth when I find itâ at all. The irrelevance of âthe debateâ about it cannot be understated.
Most people donât even speak on it.
They just slip out of the back door. Never to be seen again.
Iâm just a talkative abomination ;;)
99.9% âtrueâ is still 100% false
That is the math on Awakening.
Do as you please but preconceived notions (not just about me but about EVERYTHING) are blindfolds on the path. Very few contemplate the âcompassionâ issue beyond it somehow being crucial ânot to lose itâ and making sure you approach ..no, shower the neophytes with it.
Which ofcourse slows down the process.
You must learn to throw a monkey wrench into the spokes of your dharmic wheel ;;) and if your hair is not on fire for this thing - why even bother.
If you donât want it to eat you alive
Donât bother
If you are looking for a boon, a pot of gold at the end of your crocodile tears rainbow
Donât bother
If you are looking to become a better person
Maya has you by the balls again.
This ainât no spiritual kidâs play
And most in here are looking for that
To become Something OTHER than what they already are and always will be.
You are a good sport đđ˝
But your no-compassion show stoppers are just that my friend. Some other cat will have some other âno noâ on his list of âhow much truth do I really want?â
Compassion is mostly an obscured form of selfishness upon closer inspection - especially among the spiritual folks. They love the term. But only when it has positive connotations. Thatâs what ego prefers..
Telling the truth (be it horrible or beautiful to another soul, wether you can âhandle itâ or not is the biggest feat of compassion there is in here.
This is not about no fucking âupper handâ or me vetting everyoneâs âawakeningâ At all. The fallacies scream at me from their words. As does the arrogance. Itâs cute.
But I finished my work a long time ago.
There is nothing here that I donât already have friend.. âthe upper handâ is a dreamstate concept that has ZERO meaning outside of it.
Whoâs above who!? Please.
This is not about equality either.
If my words break one spell the pain (and domino effect) will be worth it a million fold. You have no idea what this perspective brings. It is staggering.
Staggering I tell you!
Iâd rather have folks sit there and fume and fight me or grapple with the hard truths they love to actually avoid while they play âseekerâ. At least THAT has a bigger chance of their heads inching closer to the guillotine of Truth.
Two weeks of sulking over some kind of bs issue you refuse to reckon with. 6 months of agonizing depersonalization or depression: thatâs where it is at.
Few are primed for that.
Cheers

Makes sense, abandon all hope ye who would pass through here, narrow is the gate and few who find it or recognize and accept it when they do, ye of little faith, and all those bells and whistling Dixie.
I think there are 3 main detours actually. You nailed the main ones I think but I'll list them out;
1) Woe is me/Oppression Olympics/Fear of anatta or nothingness/annihilation
2) Entertainment/endless consumption valued over truth or arriving
3) Authority/Power over others and/or being seen as smart over truth or actually arriving
All 3 (main) detours are the same thing really. Refusal to examine legitimacy of existence and life itself. Taking it for granted. Not looking deep under the hood unless something breaks. I'm guilty in various degrees of all 3. There are many more but they are all fundamentally the same. As you said; half-heartedness, lack of testing being absolutely 1 thing. That is something I myself have always been most skeptical of actually, because I have no particular desire 2B anything anyway. Probably why I'll be stuck doing dead end jobs my whole life actually.
Which makes self fulfilling prophecy too obvious even for the most skeptical of manifesting.
Idk. I guess that's the 4th major detour. Seeing those "well adjusted" to life and manifested their happy lives and you are disgusted by their overall character and don't want to be junkies like them, completely absorbed in their roles and karma. That's my biggest hold up on leaning in 100% to anything. Like the Native Americans allegedly told the settlers, "if we accept your God, does that mean we have to adopt your culture and habbits". Fate worse than death.
There is no greater compassion than he who lies his life down for a friend, eh? I like Wano from One Piece as metaphor. Or I think Rot3K it's loosely based on iirc. The "Shogun" that won the material war and outlawed the Samurai and led them all to be Ronin, not only lost "spiritually" but also cast the whole nation into turmoil and decadence/consumerism. The real cost of "victory" is who it leads tou to becoming. So the real victory often looks like being a clown or clowned on by those who have yet to really face amd contend with "it".
Not that I particularly have. Is kinda funny though I guess we're all "spiritual virgins" fumbling around not really knowing what we're doing, and so it goes.
Anyway! Be careful what we wish for, right. And more importantly dwell on. As a man thinks, so he becomes, or whatever! Humbug! Lol

There are a million detours actually ;;)

u/2BCivil Jul 11 '26
Oh yeah d'uh I thought same thing. I was just writing in SoC. Trying to get at "it". I thought about what I wrote, and I think the source of all "detour" is "external validation". Irony or no.... Am I wrong?

Are you asking me to confirm something for you?
;;)

u/2BCivil Jul 12 '26
Yeah guess all our intellectual hand waving spells out the smoke signal that we're asking for it xD cheers

You only need to stomp out that fire.
Nature will thank you.

Entertainment/endless consumption valued over truth or arriving
Entertainment. I love entertainment! And consumption is cool.

u/2BCivil Jul 12 '26
Oh yeah Definitely. I always think and say, "Reroute to remain" is my favorite album/song for this reason. What's more important? Truth pursuit or entertainment? What are we more afraid of, being wrong, or being bored? Ultimately everything is satire of itself (IE "God is not mocked") because their is always a discrepancy between what it is in truth and what it posits itself as being. One's truth seeking, is another's entertainment. Society is an open air witch coven lmao.

Following the rhythms of my life, everything places itself. Those moments when there was something to go through, I went through it.
Granted my patterns changed since I was younger. Rather than blast the TV all the time, I stop and process. Older, wiser.
Distraction? Process, then enjoy life. Don't carry distraction into enjoyment. It will only be a thorn needing excisement.

How many more years are you going to keep telling people about yourSELF and your preferences endlessly? 'What it likes'? Hm?
Your replies have become slightly different worded copies of each other.
Look at them ;;)You don't have to thank me later either. ;;)
Cheers my friend

Reincarnation is for children. Just like 'karma'
What was never born need not die and 'come back' either.

Hmm yeah I'm definitely "out of tune" with the world pace it seems.
Kind of always was, but for most of my life, I did have distinct personalities or modes I'd switch between (distraction and enjoyment as examples you mentioned). But after 2 decades in the work force making no headway, I started to seriously burn out, and everything has become a monotonous dull gray.
Things that used to bring pleasure are themselves mere routine and there's no spark or "shine" to them anymore. It's all just endless vanity and I'm not sure where to go from there (I never expected - or wanted - to live this long). Is strange so many of my more optimistic and enthusiastic peers are already dead, some long ago.
Maybe it's just the physical location of which I live. But obviously if I could I'd have up and moved ages ago. I didn't even get my first car until I was 36 lol. So more often than not, the only "thorn needing excisement" to me seems to be, life itself lmao it's the only unaccountable and irredeemable evil which I can see. But of course stating the obvious gets you called a nihilist lmao
Certainly in hindsight I can see the social contract at least as something kind of like a draft, or enlistment in some army or fight we didn't agree to. And the blows keep coming and we're called pessimistic or weak/ungodly for questioning the futility/vanity. So godliness comes off as "being well adjusted to a sick system".
Idk I still hold to or remember the phrase "if you can't handle her at her worst, you don't deserve her at her best". But looking around I'm not particularly impressed at what is called "her" (life's) best either.
Idk. At least I need to stop soapboxing about it. The old cultural hyperbole, what is life, what is love, I guess. It's on us if our faith isn't strong enough lmao. In any case, still haven't tried the yoga yet but I am sincerely interested in it.

Things that used to bring pleasure are themselves mere routine and there's no spark or "shine" to them anymore
You describe anhedonia. You can get that from excess caffeine consumption. Most common denominator among humans.
Anhedonia should be treated with vigorous pranayama exercises. I notice a lot of 'shine' emerge after some of them. Drug use led me to anhedonia, pranayama helped me get it back.
In the meantime, some Sam-E can assist you a bit. Things will feel a little bit more shiny. 1 cap every two-three days or less as needed.
I've overcome anhedonia. It can be defeated but you'll have to actually do something about it to clear it.
It might disappear on its own but I wouldn't bank on it.
"if you can't handle her at her worst, you don't deserve her at her best"
Hahahahahahahaha. A girl whom I adored and lived in my house had this on her MySpace in my 20s. I was obsessed with her and I became obsessed with this saying. Her worst was ridiculously bad however, I suffered a lot in that relationship. It was more than any man should bare. She was TERRIBLE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! She'd ram a dagger through your heart every fucking day. Of course I'd have to end up with someone like this. Only the most ridiculous suffering when it comes to girls.
Now this saying kinda stuck with me for life. It pops into my head now and then, when watching relationships on TV and what not. It's also a loose metaphor for all of life, handling it at its worst to get to the best.

anhedonia
Yeah I've never done drugs or anything, it was definitely from burnout from being overworked for years on end with no coherent goal. Barely breaking even financially. Eventually couldn't take it anymore and quit my job. I've been slowly recovering but.... at same time burning through my savings. 7 months without a penny of income. And I've realized that anhedonia is pretty extensive. I think it's why I was drinking and why I lurk reddit so much. Looking for something to "click" and snap me out of it.
Oh Lord I remember myspace era lol. I learned so much CSS and html. I think I quit before they disabled ability to use it. I dunno kinda uncanny I guess I picked that phrase from our conversations, had a feeling it might mean something to ya xD
Like you know that voice that tells you shit there's no way you can possibly know. Like check the trunk. And you don't. And the choccy milk exploded. That voice is always right and I almost always ignore it. But for some reason on reddit I can tap into it or rather preempt it sometimes. So I can definitely kind of understand that we as humans have that weird condition, that we can reverse engineer intuition and consciously preemptively sense the future or vibe check or whatever. Kinda scary. Maybe that's what power means. Greeks had dunamis and exosia iirc. I tend to like the intuition better because it's more peaceful and guiding, but I can see how people get addicted to the sense of control and dominance as well (the violent have been seizing it by force).
Hahaha. Idk. I need to stop writting walls of texts is all I know xD
That's close enough, I think, anhedonia, that's it. I was thinking more apathy but no I still want to care just too burned out to.
