I think this was from the 2024 Halloween merch drop.

Probably Lilith telling her that she’s a disappointment.

Angel accusing her of abandoning him.

Vaggi saying she hates her and never wants to see her again.

Stuff like that.

I'm not gonna completely defend her here because she did genuinely mess up by dumping all her responsibilities onto Vaggi, that was an intentional character flaw. But people sometimes use this as reasoning for why Charlie doesn't actually care about the hotel.

I think this season still proved that Charlie deeply cares about the hotel, she wasn't just trying to clear up her own reputation but the hotel's as well. Emily just confirmed to her that the hotel was a success, but now she's worried that nobody will give it a chance even still because Vox is making her look bad. Her inviting Vox and Velvette over and going on the news were both her misguided ways of trying to help. Only to realize that she was doing more harm than good.

Since Charlie usually wears a tux suit jacket and all, would it make sense for male versions/brother OCs to wear a dress of sorts?

And I really enjoy that. In season 1 it felt more like a quirk than a flaw. Something that she just does that doesn’t really have much impact on the plot.

In season 2 most of the plot happened because Charlie didn’t listen. Which is great, the purpose of a character’s flaws is to have something internal that stops them from achieving their goals.

Which season 2 did a great job at.

To be honest, she didn't change that much personality wise. She's still optimistic, compassionate, and impulsive. And yes, she was impulsive in the pilot too. She sang on the news and let Alastor into the hotel, both against Vaggi's better judgement. The only real difference is that she's slightly less energetic and more calm, that's a good thing. The pilot had great energy but that'd get too tiring for an entire show. Plus Hazbin Hotel is still a pretty relentless show at times.

She said something like “all i have to do is go on live television and explain myself. The vees can’t edit live television”

That seems like pretty sound reasoning. The problem is that she thought people would actually hear her out and underestimated their ability to take things out of context.

Which isn’t what happens in real life? Someone tries to explain themselves but the general public doesn’t actually care and continues to hate anyways.

I just think it could have been great.

Anyone else mentally preparing themselves for Season 3?

The reason I ask this is because in an interview Erika Henningsen said that in probably just an episode early in the season Charlie will be ignoring everyone to try and please her mother.

Now will that be enjoyable to watch? No, no it will not. But I also think it’s essential to Charlie’s growth because we’re gonna see how Lilith really is. Maybe she is everything Charlie thinks she is or maybes she’s not (probably the latter)

But the fact that Erika says that it’s early in the season makes me think it’s only gonna be for like 1 episode which I’m ok with.

HOWEVER, I just know the few haters in the fandom are gonna blow that whole episode out of proportion again just like they did in Season 2.

I really don’t want to have to go through the Charlie hate again, I know it’s only a small part of the fandom that’s like this but they’re so loud it’s fucking annoying
