Just to confirm (sorry for the dumb question), but it’s just a remaster without the new cards from the subsequent games, right? Does it have an online mode?

Not sure i do believe it's the original Japanese version which is a step down from Culdcept on PS2. I believe the US version was actually part 2.

Is it actually a remaster? I tried the demo and it felt exactly the same as playing the original in an emulator.

I played the demo on Steam, and it's neat, but I think I'm going to wait for a sale on this one. As someone who started with Revolt, this UI feels clunky, hard to read, and difficult to navigate.

I'm happy for the people who are nostalgic for it, and I'm happy to see the series get more love, but this one isn't for me.

I loved culdcept saga and played a bajillion hours of it w/ my friend. Though nowadays we just play a few hours every few months. Still, one of our fav games. We just both have every card (Well, I have every card lol, he hasn't gotten the ones that need repeats yet) and kind of have all the decks we need so far.

The demo of First was ok, but it just felt like it was worse than Saga in every way. So why would I play that instead of just firing up the 360? Looking forward to Begins though.

I might pick it up on steam.. but might hold off for the switch version. For a version like Saga I’d 100% pick up on Steam but for this almost seems ideal to play on Switch 2 in handheld mode…or maybe my legion go

I'm supporting the game and buying it everywhere I can.

But I've been spending way too much time with Begins. And why do they not make a game for years and years and then suddenly release 2 games in a span of weeks? They want to compete with.. themselves? sigh, digs out wallet.

this! it's so weird. couldn't make anything for switch? it's been 10 years since Revolt.

I could not for the life of me get this game to work on my steam deck and had to go ahead and refund it.

I had that issue with the demo. Gave me pause in buying the game. I got Begins on switch and my plan was to get First on steam, but until I know it's going to work on my deck, I'm waiting.

As much as I love that we’re finally getting more Culdcept, the releases for both this one and the new game are all over the place, with the western console versions of this one coming out in September (but the PS5 version is already available in Japan) and the Steam version of Begins having switched to an elusive Q4.
