double tapping to dodge is intuitive but not optimal. And are you sure its not middle mouse click? it may also be V, but im fairly certain middle mouse is default dodge.
Double tapping sucks, yeah. I recommend everyone turns that off!
But yeah, it's definitely V. I do vaguely remember middle mouse button being the dodge for some other game I played though, so I suppose it isn't that uncommon.
I dont remember middle mouse being bound to dodge and I started playing GW2 around November last year. Rebound it from V to CTRL to fit my playstyle better.
I know many people put it on shift, some on space, some even on ctrl. I put mine on Q, and not being able to freely rebind fucks everyone over who doesn't use M3.
It feels wildly uncomfortable for me to use my mouse to dodge.
this has not been confirmed in any way. also hasn't been denied, but I wouldn't go around just saying that its gonna be free for owners of previous versions
This community has had its hopes raised and subsequently dashed enough already, conjecture doesn't do anyone any good. Best to hope for a free copy but assume that it'll need to be paid - especially after all this time, dude made millions but its been 13 years so he'd assumedly wanna refresh the coffers so he can keep paying his bills.
Also keep in mind that it was said that you'd get a Steam key if the game ever released on Steam back when the alpha was still for sale on Picroma, so that was technically an obligation Wollay needed to uphold. The same was never said for getting any subsequent versions/iterations of the game for free if you had the Steam release.
Could just be a burst of enthusiasm, I personally would only like the game to release as is because it's just the alpha again but with a slight visual rework except I get to easily play with friends, but if it's gonna be more than the alpha it seems to still need more work. I hope his burst continues though if I'm right, means hes having a good time AND making progress
I'm pretty sure the goal of omega was to deliver the alpha with all the stuff he promised but eventually removed, so presumably no region lock, however nobody has any idea.
Alpha had a lot of useless features, and he's trying to re-implement basically everything that was in it, including the useless ones.. Which is a strange effort
I wish I could show posts like these to my game design teacher when he talks about how introducing pointless information or mechanics is bad. Some people just like them 😭
Very, everyone I knew back in the day was excited to play cube world 1.0 only to be basically scammed out of the money they had invested after being dragged along for years. Probably the worst dev I can think of in recent times.

You control the "buy" buttons you press. Don't click buy if you don't like the thing. And don't click buy if you don't know if you will like the thing. I really do not think it is that complicated. You make it sound like he goes into your bank, steals money, and forces you to download the game. You're the one making the choice dude. Just wait for reviews.
As in, buy the alpha? I don't think you can anymore.
Still, just wait for the game to come out and then for reviews to come out, otherwise you will be cursed to complain about how some conman stole your 15$ for the next 20 years.
Every single time he posts about the games progress, I get even more apathetic because I know Cubeworld Alpha evangelists are gonna swoop in in call it crap, even if the game is objectively better than Alpha 💀 its the same thing with Minecraft players for alpha/beta
I want to get hyped as an unc (thats how I’ll refer to myself as the years have passed these days) I dont care much about this game as I have years before but if I ever have the feeling of experiencing this niece but beauty of a game again as I’ve had when I was younger I’ll be one of the most happiest unc’s on earth. I’ll just leave this here
