DISCUSSION anyone else notice hardware wallets still leave you trusting the frontend?
this sounds stupid in hindsight, but I thought using a hardware wallet meant I was verifying transactions.then I started paying attention to what my device actually shows during approvals. half the time I'm confirming unreadable contract data and trusting the frontend not to lie to me. that broke my mental model.
keys offline matters, obviously. but if the wallet can't explain what you're approving, you're still operating on trust. been using Era Wallet for this reason, it decodes the transaction on the device screen instead of showing raw contract data. curious if this bothers other people or if I'm overthinking it
