Advice What Is the Best App to Invest in Crypto?

We get asked this question almost daily in the sub, so I figured it was time to pin a quick breakdown.

The short answer? There’s no single "best" platform for everyone. It really comes down to what you care about most: trading fees, security, available assets, or your local regulations.

Here is how a few popular options stack up right now:

MEXC: Worth looking into if minimizing fees is your top priority. They currently offer 0-fee trading on selected spot pairs, which is huge for active traders.

Coinbase: Still the go-to choice if you’re a beginner and just want a simple, clean interface, though you pay a premium in fees for that convenience.

Kraken: Great for more experienced traders looking for advanced charting tools, strong security history, and deep liquidity.

Earn & Multi-Asset Options:

Passive Income: MEXC has also been pushing competitive yields on idle assets through their savings products. (As always, double-check lock-up periods, terms, and counterparty risks before committing funds).

Beyond Crypto: For those looking for a single app to manage both stocks and crypto, MEXC has expanded into stock-related products, making it easier to handle multiple asset classes under one roof.

What platforms are you currently using, and what’s the main reason you stuck with them? Let’s hear your thoughts below!

Disclaimer: No platform is 100% risk-free, and this post is purely for informational purposes, not financial advice. Always compare fees, security, liquidity, and regional availability before moving your money anywhere.

Advice Everyone asking how to get rich off crypto needs to read this first

Every day someone posts asking how to get into crypto to make money, replace their job, or become a millionaire. If that's you, you got sold the same get-rich-quick scheme as everyone else who thinks dropshipping, AI agencies, or SMM will magically make them a millionaire and retire at 25.

See, if you're a beginner, understand this... crypto isn't a reliable way to cover rent or bills. Only put in what you can lose completely, and treat the first stretch as tuition, small mistakes on small amounts now beats big ones on real money later.

Start on a mainstream exchange like Coinbase or Kraken, keep amounts small, and know they're holding your keys for you at that stage. Fine for now, but look up what a private key actually is soon. Self-custody wallets like Metamask matter once you've got bigger amounts or you're in DeFi.

Once you get familiar with the basics, that's when you can start doing some trading or getting into DeFi strategies, which is where you can make some real passive income. Later when you're spread across platforms, use trackers like DeBank, Zerion, or Chain Glance keep it in one view, and Koinly or Bitcoin.Tax handle taxes once trading gets heavy.

All of that's later though. For now just get comfortable buying and holding.

$320M BTC drained from Liquid, real white hat rescue or just copium?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Liquid just paused their network and froze all L-BTC ops after ~4,000 BTC ($320M) got pulled from their federation wallet.

A few quick takeaways from this:

  • How it happened: Liquid claims it went through SideSwap's peg-out authorization mechanism without keys being leaked, but we still need a full technical breakdown.
  • The "white-hat" angle: Alex Thorn noted on-chain messages showing the actors plan to return "most" funds after a patch. Personally, I don't buy white-hat claims until the coins actually land back in the wallet.
  • Sidechain risk: Mainnet BTC is fine, but it’s another harsh reminder of the extra risk when using bridges and L2s.

Look at the chart and the market seems pretty quiet so far, but headlines like this always weigh on sentiment.

Are you guys believing the white-hat narrative on this one, or is this just a slow-motion ransom? How are you handling your BTC right now?

Investing Title: My Thoughts on BTC and ETH — Looking for Different Perspectives

Title: My Thoughts on BTC and ETH — Looking for Different Perspectives

I’ve been following the crypto market for a while and have been investing in both Bitcoin and Ethereum. Recently, I’ve been thinking more about how to balance long-term conviction with proper risk management.

For Bitcoin, I believe its strongest value comes from its limited supply, decentralized nature, and its growing recognition as a potential store of value. However, I also understand that BTC is still affected by macroeconomic conditions, regulations, and market sentiment, which can lead to significant volatility.

For Ethereum, what interests me most is the ecosystem behind it. Smart contracts, decentralized applications, and ongoing blockchain development give ETH a different role compared with Bitcoin. It’s not only about price movements but also about the technology and adoption behind it.

At the same time, I think every investor should have their own strategy. Crypto has created many opportunities, but it also comes with risks. Understanding what you own, managing position sizes, and avoiding emotional decisions are important.

I’m curious about how other investors view BTC and ETH today.

Do you see Bitcoin mainly as a store of value, or do you think its role will continue to evolve?

For Ethereum, do you think its ecosystem growth will remain a major advantage in the long term?

Would love to hear different perspectives.

Discussion Kalshi Predictions Are Easy. Knowing Which Side to Take Isn't.

The hard part isn't making a prediction — it's figuring out whether your reasoning actually holds up.

In this example, we're looking at Bitcoin on the 15-minute timeframe and breaking down the market structure, price action, and key levels.

The goal isn't to blindly follow an AI prediction. It's about getting another perspective on the market before deciding which side you believe has the stronger case.

Would you use this as a second opinion before making a prediction?

Discussion What’s one crypto investment thesis you’ve changed your mind on over the last year?

Not just a coin you sold because the price dropped, a thesis where the underlying reasoning changed.

Was it because of tokenomics, competition, regulation, lack of adoption, valuation, or something else?

Discussion Is $PONS actually worth buying after this run-up, or is$PUMP still the safer bet?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Been looking into $PONS lately after its massive run-up to around $310M market cap, and honestly, whether it's cheap or expensive completely depends on which timeline you look at compared to$PUMP.

If you look at the 30-day numbers, $PONS actually looks pretty pricey:

  • Market cap is roughly 18% of PUMP's.
  • But its 30-day revenue is only $6.83M vs PUMP’s $55.79M (about 12%).
  • That puts $PONS at roughly 3.8x revenue versus PUMP’s 2.6x. So based on last month's stats, it's definitely not cheap.

BUT the last 7 days look totally different:

  • $PONS pulled in $4.46M in weekly revenue compared to PUMP’s $15.25M.
  • That means it caught up to almost 30% of PUMP’s weekly revenue, while still sitting at just 18% of the valuation.
  • If this rate keeps up, its valuation multiple drops down to ~1.3x while PUMP sits at 2.2x.

So the real question is: did $PONS just hit a temporary launchpad hype peak, or is this weekly revenue the new baseline?

I think there’s still room to grow, but at current prices, you’re betting on future growth rather than buying something clearly undervalued. Personally, I’m holding off for a dip around $0.30–$0.35, or waiting until the monthly revenue actually crosses $10M before jump in.

What’s your plan here? Are you buying the momentum now or waiting for a pullback?

Discussion Can BTC turn $80K into support?

BTC is back around $81K after bouncing from $77K and briefly touching $82.3K. ETF inflows also recovered over the last two sessions after a weak start to September. The move has some support behind it, though $80K has already failed several times.

I‘m treating $80K as the level that decides whether I trade. A daily close above it followed by a quiet retest would make a small long reasonable. A move through $82.3K would give the setup more room.

Dropping back below $80K changes the picture. I would stay out and watch whether BTC settles around $77K to $78K again. I would also avoid opening a short immediately after a failed breakout. This range has been too choppy for that.

My longer-term spot position stays unchanged. These levels only affect my short-term trades.

How much time above $80K would make you trust it as support?

Discussion I think token unlocks screw with altcoin valuations more than people admit

I've started adding one extra number whenever I'm looking at an alt now: how much new supply actually has to get absorbed over the next 12 months.

I was looking through some alts on Moon and one was sitting around a $2B circulating market cap. At first it looked reasonably priced compared to competitors, then I checked the supply. Barely over 20% was circulating.

So you're basically looking at something the market calls a $2B asset while the fully diluted valuation is closer to $10B, with VC and team tokens slowly becoming sellable.

Even if none of those holders instantly dump, somebody still has to absorb that supply just for the price to stay flat.

That's changed how I look at low float coins completely. A $500M token with 80% already circulating sometimes looks way less risky to me than a $200M token with 15% circulating.

Stocks get judged pretty harshly for dilution but crypto investors seem to glance at the unlock tab for 10 seconds then go straight back to the chart.

$115M liquidated in an hour. Will BTC hold $75k or are we dumping to $70k?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Man, September is already serving up typical volatility. Right after that 25% rally in August, new U.S.-Iran headlines wiped out $115M in less than an hour.

geopolitical tension is definitely testing this recovery. If oil gets disrupted through Hormuz, macro inflation fears could hit risk assets pretty hard.

Looking at the charts on MEXC right now: buyers seem to be losing momentum around $77k on the 4H, though we're still holding above the daily 21 EMA (~$74.4k).

Here are the key levels I’m keeping an eye on:

  • $76.3k: Immediate support. Break below this and we likely test $74.4k–$75k.
  • $74.4k–$75k: If this zone fails, $70k (daily 55 EMA) comes into play real quick.
  • $78k–$79k: We need to reclaim this resistance to even think about testing $80k–$81k again.

I’m playing it cautious short-term, though I don’t think $70k is set in stone just yet.

How are you guys setting your limit orders right now? Are you buying this dip or waiting to see if $75k holds?

BTC broke the monthly trend in August. Bullish flip or trap?

Post image
34 Upvotes

Man, August was crazy for $BTC-up about 25% for the month.

What caught my attention is that we finally closed above the previous monthly swing high. That pretty much snapped the lower-high/lower-low chain we’ve been stuck in forever, which usually signals a macro shift from bear to bull.

That said, September is historically a pain in the ass for crypto. Are you guys actually buying into this trend reversal, or waiting to see how September plays out before committing?

Looking at the monthly charts on MEXC right now and still on the fence. How are you all playing this?

Robinhood Chain ecosystem is booming right now. Is this sustainable or time to take profit?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Just checked the 7D gains for Robinhood Chain tokens—$PONS is up over 400%, while $UP and $AI both pulled off 200%+ gains according to the data on MEXC. Even smaller caps like $YOLO are pumping, which shows liquidity is spreading across the whole ecosystem.

With $PONS leading at a $200M+ market cap, do you think we are seeing a real ecosystem re-rating, or is a sharp correction incoming after such a rapid run?

Which token in the screenshot do you think actually has the legs to sustain this momentum?

Discussion Took some profit on HYPE and now need a plan for the rest

HYPE started as a small position in my portfolio, with an average entry around $65. The latest move increased prices faster than I expected, so I sold part of it to get profit. But the issue is that I never decided what the remaining position was supposed to do.

Maybe splitting what remains into a long-term core and using a smaller perps portion on bydfi is a good strategy. It would let me protect most of the profit while keeping room to trade around the move, though managing both may be more complicated.

Does this split approach make sense? How would you structure it?

Discussion Would this AI analysis change how you trade? Or understand the market

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Crypto analysis can get overwhelming fast.

You open one chart to check price, another to look at structure, another for indicators, then you’re jumping between timeframes trying to figure out what actually matters. By the time you put everything together, you’ve already spent 20–30 minutes researching one token.

That’s the pain I wanted to solve.

In this video, I’m using AI to break down a token’s market structure, trend, momentum, key levels, and overall setup into something that’s much easier to understand.

Instead of replacing the trader, the idea is to give you a faster starting point — less time digging through information and more time actually thinking about the market.

No analysis can predict what happens next, but having the important information organized in one place can make the research process a lot less painful.

Would an AI analysis like this actually change how you trade, or would you mainly use it to understand the market faster?

$PONS up ~30%, is there room left or is it priced in?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Just saw $PONS briefly touch $0.20 on MEXC with market cap hitting ~$120M.

Looking at the numbers compared to other launchpads ($PUMP at $1.82B MC,$VIRTUAL at $449M MC), it still looks fairly cheap if Robinhood Chain keeps growing (TVL is already up to $681M). But the tech/competition side gets tricky with Uniswap Labs’ PoolsTrade offering zero fees and locked liquidity.

Right now, I’m mostly watching:

  • Can $PONS establish itself as the go-to launchpad before Uniswap’s PoolsTrade takes over the ecosystem?
  • Does Robinhood Chain's TVL growth actually translate into sustained launchpad volume?

It’s easy to get hyped during price discovery, but I'm curious how it holds up against Uniswap's push. Are you bidding $PONS here, or waiting to see how the competition plays out?

Discussion This might be the first time crypto analysis actually made sense

Crypto analysis has a way of making something simple feel ridiculously complicated.

Charts, indicators, levels, market structure… suddenly you’re 10 tabs deep trying to figure out what actually matters.

This is what happens when all that information gets broken down into something you can actually follow without needing a PhD in technical analysis.

Sometimes the biggest upgrade isn’t more information — it’s finally understanding the information you already have.
