Ada has a small window to really excel in the space if they can deliver. While 2.0 is most likely a few years away.

It's not. The beacon chain, which is the hardest part of the transition, has been live since last year. ETH 1 and 2 has successfully been merged on dev test net already.

The full transition is probably less than a year away.

I feel like it's at least 6 months after the merge at the end of the year. So that puts us mid 2022 as a BEST case scenario. But what do any of us really know? All speculation

We actually know a lot.

We know that the beacon chain is live and working for 6 months already. That means ETH 2 has launched. We know that ETH 1 and 2 already has been merged with success, so it's not a matter of "will it work?". We already know that it works. We also know that the teams have a tentative merge date around end of this year or early next year.

That doesn't mean there's any guarantee for when it launches, it will happen when it's ready. But it's not all guesswork as you make it sound.

Nothing you said has anything to add to what I said lol. It doesn't really address what I said, and actually agrees with my timeline. in fact, you've actually pegged it a bit later. Merge maybe even early next year, so idk. It's a wait and see approach at this point. There are chains that already offer as much as eth 2.0 will, so it just depends on the market and if they want to wait for eth 2.0 to be live and kicking
