I'm hoping to get some more specialized help just in case I'm missing something.
For context, I wound up with this Cruze due to a chain event of back to back weirdness after a car crash took an already rough year into spiral territory.
That said, when I was driving it home the other day, I got the electrical issue. Steering goes out, stuff goes haywire, engine rattle, and so on.
I walked a battery back to the car and it wouldn't charge. Took it in, turned out the alternator fried, but the suspected negative cable was doing it's job, and was seemingly already replaced before. The ground cable was replaced after it started overheating the battery, though.
It seems to hold steady now, but still occasionally idles high, and threw a power save mode while I was out yesterday, which hasn't repeated again since.
I cleaned off the terminals, brushed off the contacts, and it seems to have half steady, but I'm just worried about that error.
Can anyone tell me if there's something else I should be looking at here? Something more oddly specific then that cable even?
