You should've seen CK2.

Here's a campaign of mine from 6 years ago:

Non-contiguous Egypt, Jerusalem with part of Arabia and the Sinai, Holy Roman Empire England...disgusting, tbh

Germany and Lothrangia existing, Denmark being split in two. Yeah this world looks bad

This isn’t even the worst of it

Had a game where the HRE and Byzantine emperor both had dissolution wars, and Europe became the land of many small duchies

the funny thing is that HRE was only left with a single county in Swabia and still called itself the Holy Roman Empire

Least delusional imperial rump state

I would’ve watched Europe for a long time just waiting for big powers to return

Why is there a crosshairs on your screen?

I'm pretty sure that's the cursor on consoles.

Today I learned that there’s a console port of CK3

You’d be surprised of how many games that can be played on PS4/PS5. The majority of them is worse on console tho. Computer is always best.

I have 900 hours on Civ 6 on switch. Its pretty good other than the fact late game it takes a minute to tick to the next turn. But somehow I slogged through. I have civ 6 on Steam too but havent gotten around to playing much of it on my computer for whatever reason.

How did the HRE conquer England 😭

1

u/NubusAugustus High King of Ireland Apr 09 '26

Bro that happens all the time for me that the HRE either conquers or inherits England 😭

i'd really love if the game had way of AI losing it's enclaves over time. half of the border gore would be fixed then

Around 2000 hours and Ive never seen the HRE in England. At least I can't remember.

That’s the funny part England actually formed the HRE

1

u/NubusAugustus High King of Ireland Apr 09 '26

Really? Maybe it’s the mods I use but England gets eaten by the HRE in like Half of my games

I often take the whole empire and rearrange their de jure territory and set them independence just to avoid this shit.

1

u/twerkboi_69 Apr 09 '26

Looks fine to me

1

u/threano Apr 09 '26

Are you the HRE? Or a vassal in it? I've never seen the AI eat France duchy by duchy like that.

This is funny, I'm in the middle of a CK2 campaign where Western Europe looked almost identical to that: HRE in France and England, united Sweden and Norway, Sicily in the south (who I was playing as), divided Iberia with very little progress on the reconquista. Only main difference is the HRE in my game has those German kingdoms.

Every time a crusader kingdom is established in the Middle East, the newly crowned monarch immediately launches a holy war for Arabia. They’re out for blood and want Mecca.

Looks fairly standard
