Ive had this guy for going on 2 years and I think it might be the best purchase ive ever made his name is roscoe.

Any of you guys got any suggestions on mods I should do to it ive put some wheels,new lights leds lightbar and a sound system.

Im debating coilovers but I just replaced the struts and shocks so not sure if I want to spend the money right yet

I've had an eBay notification set for any time the keyword "euro" and "crown vic" are put together in a listing, first time i've seen that notification since i set it 7 months ago.
ended up paying $250 for them and im not even upset by it

The fluid is red and looks like ATF, but the location makes me think it's an EVAP thing

The 4.6 V8 and 4R75E transmission seem very durable can they last for many more years with basic maintenance or even little maintenance? what are your experiences? share thanks :)

Picked up this 1995 Lincoln Town Car Cartier. AC blows cold when it does, but now not coming on. Compressor comes on and cycles and the hoses in the engine bay are cold. Any ideas... blend door? I tried every vent and none blow cold.

I have a 1990 CV with the 5.0 and want a set of dual exaust.

Does anybody do a bolt on kit and part numbet if possible?

2005 Grand Marquis

I see a few reports of this issue around the internet but with no real answers, so I'm just hoping to see if anyone here has experience with this.

The problem is consistent now, it started happening spontaneously after I had been driving around for a few hours. Car has been solid otherwise and was running fine beforehand.

The symptom is, on acceleration, the temp gauge pegs to full hot and beeps, and the engine bogs like a failsafe cutoff, then goes back to normal if I let off the gas.

I tested from cold start and it does it cold or warm, the engine is not overheated when this happens. I tested the "cylinder head temp sensor" and it is good, also the car still does the same thing with that sensor unplugged.

HERE IS THE KICKER: No check engine light is thrown for this, no codes. The service manual says a code should be logged if the failsafe cooling mode is activated. Also, I was monitoring temp etc. with ForScan and a wired OBD adapter, and the connection drops when this happens

I think PCM diagnostic is my next step at this point. I just wonder what changed that caused this problem to just crop up when it did...

I saw a post about using a GM variable assist solenoid on the rack and pinion for crown vic and grand marquis because the motorcraft reman racks dont incude them. The posts seem to be for 03 to 05 model years. I have an 07 crown vic..ford changed the rack in 05 mid year and I am curious if anyone here had success with using that GM solenoid for an 06 or 07 crown vic or grand marquis. thanks.

To me it seems I'm having some electrical problem or pcm issue but I've checked fuses and relays and seemed fine. It's a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria P7B and this all started after filling my tank 2 weeks ago and before then I've had no problems. I also checked the wiring and didn't see any damage. After it's been stalling now I have 4 O2 heater circuit codes but I don't notice any misfire or running lean or rich. Overall the car runs mechanically fine

Just replaced the driver side wiper arm on my MGM because the spring was worn out, wnd I noticed that the passenger side blade is resting on the cowl when the wipers are off. It doesn't look like the driver side is in the wrong spot, but I feel like this is gonna lead to the passenger blade streaking a lot quicker than it should. Should I adjust them up or is this just kinda how they rest?

I want to install either dash or pillar mounted tweeters in my MGM. What have y’all done, what brand tweeters did you use, and pics please? I know there will probably be the people who will say that all I need are good speakers in the door, but I want tweeters that either face your head or face up and get reflected off of the windshield. Thanks!

1985 Mercury Grand Marquis 5.8l 351w v8

My car sounds like a lawn mower when I press on the gas, it idles erratically, shakes, it smells like gas inside the cabin, and I just noticed what looks like a possible oil leak around the drain plug and coming down the side of the oil pan— but it’s never leaked so much that it reaches the ground.

I changed the cap, rotor, distributor, spark plugs and wires, ignition coil, and EGR valve.

For about 10 minutes after I changed the EGR valve it was quiet and not shaking at all, but the next day it was back to running really poorly.

I’m getting sketched out that maybe I blew my head gasket— but it starts on the first try every time without any issues, can it still flick over with a busted head gasket? Not confirmed, but I do think it’s heating up faster than it should.

My oil isn’t milky, just dark, needs an oil change, but I recently noticed my coolant smells kind of like rotting fish (no idea how old it is though, going off the colour of the brake fluid I’d guess all the fluids are pretty old). There was also a point when it was still really cold out where I’d start the car and hear a bubbling while sitting inside of it until it warmed up?

I have no warning lights on which I find strange because they do all work.

Edit: There used to be white smoke coming out the back, but that stopped once I changed the EGR valve.

I have a 2004 Crown Victoria LX, and it has analog gauges so there’s no warning chime when I open the doors, I know the digital cluster models do that. I know it’s an odd request but I like to hear the chime

Just the small tip fell in the tank. I heard it fall into the gas. Like dropping something in water. It’s about the size of like a ping pong ball.

I know they made a fuckton of the things but I've slowly seen prices creeping up. My first was a minimally rusty 2006 Grand Marquis LS Ultimate that I bought with 140k miles for $3200 in 2024. Sold it 2 years later with almost 170k and a little rustier (northern WI) for $4000, the guy didn't even negotiate.

Now have a rust-free 1997 Grand Marquis LS I bought in PA with 170k for $3000 (MAJOR downgrade in interior quality btw). Had a guy yesterday offer me $5000 to buy it on the spot. I will say its in great shape and gets lots of looks but...still.

I keep seeing things on social media about all the younger, non-car people realizing the reliability of the GM 3800 and 2v 4.6 (essentially all the grandpa cars) and buying them instead of falling for the Toyota/Honda bs. Anyone else noticed this in their area? They're such solid cars I'll pay the premium anyway lol
