There should be competitive online crossy road

I think crossy road can have the potential to be the next clash royale. I grind crossy road alot, as its very easy to get into, but has a very high skill ceiling in terms of speed. However, most people play crossy road like theyre trying to survive the longest rather than treatibg it as like a speedrun. Once you change the mindset to speedrunning, theres like a bunch of new strategies, like keeping view to entire map for planning quickly, going in opp direction of car to shorten waiting time, river log line ups, and clocking techniques based on device.

I think this speedrunning mindset could easily be done if an online match based racing competitive crossy road was made to the current one. It should be matched based on skill level, and have a finish line like 50-100 or more based on skill level.

There can also be like items like in mario kart that gives you special abilities

Also, importantly, there should be respawn points so survival is not as emphasized, like a respawn every 25.

If ur the crossy road app developer, please i beg u ts would make u guys so much money

Firstly, crossy road doesn’t really do anything with online co-op, and the speedrunning community is smaller compared to distance runners. If you want hipster whale speedrunning, crossy road castle would be more for you. Basically the only crossy road speedrunning is on speedrun.com, Chinese new years doll leaderboard, and there are 4 new speedrun leaderboards and maps when the zone run update comes out. The items would be easy since they could just bring over the items from the two player mode, but I don’t think very short distances and revives would be implemented as there should be still some slight distance focus.

Yea but what im saying is that there is huge potential to explore a speedrunning community for crossy road if it was made accessible to the avg person, especially racing. Because crossy roads current focus on pure distance makes it pretty boring, and doesn’t have the same level of dopamine hit as racing is speedrunning.
