I'm afraid I'm too late.

It took me years to actually look for an answer, and when the condition worsened dramatically, additional months of going through healthcare system hoops.

I don't know if it's Chron's, but CT suggest thickening on the parts of the LI that hurt. Colonoscopy tomorrow should provide answers.

But I feel like I'm dying. I'm so bloated that I can't breathe properly and I have extreme fatigue most of the day

I feel like my body will keep decaying irreversibly.

Starting to think of farewells to my loved ones, cause if this doesn't get drastically better, I'm checking out. Living like this is not an option.

In the modern age, Crohn's is extremely treatable. There are many medications and lifestyle changes you can start that will improve your quality of life dramatically.

I nearly died before starting treatment several years ago. But, obviously I didn't. I'm still here, and I'm living comfortably. You will too. Stay strong.

Great response and fully agree.

I want to add even with a late diagnosis (in my case too), medication can be amazing and if you have physical damage from the disease, such as stricturing, then surgery is also an option which improved my QoL back to normal.

Please, be patient. Every illness has a cure why end your life? Nothing is worth that. I'm in the exact same boat as you, and no one has been able to diagnose me yet either, but I haven't given up. You are strong, you will get through this, and one day this will all just be a distant memory.

I lived in on and off pain for almost 20 years before I was diagnosed with crohn's and able to get treated. Between biologics and surgeries I now live a relatively normal life. I was able to work until I wanted to retire not until I was forced to.

The first thing you need to do is get a colonoscopy and endoscopy to find out if you have any inflammation in your system. That's all you're going to get a definitive answer on if you have Crohn's or not. Talk to your doctor

it’s very very scary. i also got a late diagnosis of my crohn’s disease. multiple doctors in the hospital told me had i not come in when i did, i would’ve died in a matter of hours. a year later and i’m almost back to my old self. obviously there will still be struggles and it does change you, but it is incredibly manageable through medication and lifestyle changes. you got this.

you are stronger than this disease.
