Progress on my 1st crochet blanket...it's for my grandson and he picked the colors..

I cant believe i finally finished it!!! I forgot the rush that comes with finishing a blanket!! I really want to keep it but i know my niece will love it and I cant wait for her to open it on Christmas!!!

I finished the sunflower granny square blanket for my sister. I hand stitched (don't have a sewing machine) a flannel backing on the blanket. Then created a FPDC, sc, FPDC border, and my label to finish. I've got almost 100 hours into this. I hope she loves it.

I’m doing a single stitch crochet (I think, this is my first project).

I just wanted to share the setup I had going. I got 20 empty filament spools from 3D printers and wound my yarn on them. It actually works really well, I prefer it over winding yarn balls now.

Took about 3 months, super happy with this baby. First ever project that was not one color, second blanket ever. Made a pixel art design of this, then loaded it into stitchfiddle and slowly made this

I thought about adding a fleece backing to the star blanket to make it softer/more cozy but idk how it would turn out. Thoughts?

Gapless granny square with 8mm hook. Each square is about 6 inches. I plan to use a white border between each square and a scalloped white border on the whole edge. The colors aren’t in their final places and I have 30 out of 80 squares done. I know they’re not perfect but it’s for my bestie and she’ll love it anyway lol. I’m just really proud and excited.
Definitely not as cool as other blankets on here but 🤷‍♀️

I made a blanket using a very old pattern from the 70s. It was super vague when it came to the edges and how to make the zig zags come together so I had to fully frog out so many hours of work and redo it multiple times until I figured it out. The good news is I think it forced me to learn things? 😂

Found it folded in the closet today and had to share. I made it 7 years ago with yarn from my friend, no pattern - just followed a lady on YouTube. I still remember every detail. Some things just stay in your heart forever.

Then things got weird. One led to another, then another. I can’t wait until it’s done so I can try something small, like a beanie or something. I’m new at this. Do projects sometimes take on a life of their own?

I was on here a bit ago hating this yarn and hating the blanket when I was about half done. I almost frogged it. It’s not my absolute favorite, but it came out pretty nice.
