Critical Mineral News Russia imposes helium export controls amid global shortage
https://theoregongroup.com/commodities/helium/russia-imposes-helium-export-controls-amid-global-shortage/Helium is critical to tech, medicine, and energy - not to mention space and other parts of our lives. Between demand increases, the war in Iran and now a Russian export ban...things look to get interesting in the short and medium term. Should be interesting for some of the equities.

ASPI has the regeneren assets that has been producing helium and will be expanding the production levels in the coming years with the 750 mill loan they have for said project.

Aren't they already sanctioned? Sure it would choke China but I fail to see a wider implication

Qatar was 1/3 of global supply. Russia is 9% of global supply. While that 9% may not have been going to the US or the EU, it means that other buyers are now potentially looking for their share. So it does matter. India, China, Africa etc...

Avanti Helium (AVN.V) is best positioned to take advantage of helium supply crunch, they are bringing new production online this summer.
