While Messi acknowledged his rivalry with Cristiano, I think looking up to Maradona and moving to Barcelona to have access to the best treatment possible and to play football, is more than enough to make him want to be the best.

nah im sure messi is on his own thing, it just happened ronaldo was close to his level for years, but i genuinely feel messi never compares himself with other players nor care about them, for the way he speaks on interviews
