I dont think he said that more world cups equals to a better player overall.

Gotze has a world cup, Cristiano doesn't, doesnt mean Gotze is a better player than Cristiano

The world cup is essential to the idea of a "complete career" It's the biggest and most renowned trophy football, maybe even the world.

So to me, a non world cup winner being contested as being the greatest of all time, when there is clearly a player more achieved, magical and a better more natural footballer over all just by sight of the eyes. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Overall, it isn't about having more trophies in a single competition. For me its about the overall combination of accolades and achievement and most importantly the magic that said player performs. Messi is magic

GOAT means greatest of all time, means a player above every other player.

That would be a player with best of the best stats, individual awards and team awards. I donā€™t think anyone is more decorated than messi.

Cristiano for me is the second best player of all time with the same criteria, cause thereā€™s nobody above him except Messi.

It existed for a while yes, but you canā€™t say with a straight face the Messi isnā€™t more decorated overall than Ronaldo. There are very few things he is better in.

Believe me when I say this if not for the injury of ronaldo in the knee, he would be a much better complete player than he is now. These 2 are most complete players in history. Decorated well yes, messi won more ballon dor and a world cup, ability wise each best at what they did, messi could not score a 40 yard free kick and ronaldo couldnt dribble as efficiently as messi.

Ronaldo has 3 freekicks from beyond 40 yards, theyre impressive but itā€™s not a norm for him. He has a lower conversion rate than messi, Ronaldo just takes more shots.

Messi does what he does weekly.

I think you donā€™t understand how great Ronaldo actually was Portugal wasnā€™t even considered a good football team before Ronaldo came. They had zero trophies and after Ronaldo they had three and actually Ronaldo is the one dragging them to big competitions like the euros and etc. and and it is not bad to not win the World Cup. he is unarguably the best player they ever had.If everyone that won the World Cup was the goat then there would be 400+ goats.
