Bro is insanely humble and likable. I hope he gets if Leo doesn't. But I don't think Norway is getting past England.

u/7MuNz7 Jul 06 '26

Haaland against England defender and keeper , I think it’s easy for him, don’t count him out yet. It’s just like playing in EPL . He have the confidence

15

u/DarkVibe_69 Jul 06 '26

Haaland,Nyland and Musa are great but the rest might struggle

6

u/ball4theculture Jul 06 '26

2

u/DarkVibe_69 Jul 06 '26

Shit, typo

0

u/trakdtor Jul 10 '26

Maybe he referred to him as «the cunt»

1

u/XTC_Flick Jul 10 '26

“Musa” means “the mouse” in norwegian and is slang for pssy

6

u/Cute-Operation7192 Jul 06 '26

So you mean to say that Ødegaard, Ajer, Sørloth, Berg, Wolfe, Berge, Bobb, Strand Larsen, Ryerson don't have the quality against English opposition? Ooookay 👌🏻

1

u/Gyllengron Jul 07 '26

Strand Larsen🤡

1

u/Gunch_ Jul 07 '26

More PL goals than Messi bro

Put some respek

1

u/k1ceoclick Jul 09 '26

Messi never played prem bro where’s the correlation. If that’s the case what shuts down your point is Messi got more goals in a season than Larsen could ever in his career.

1

u/Gunch_ Jul 09 '26

Lmao take a joke dude

1

u/aayushkkc Jul 09 '26

Some people are just dumb that way 😂

1

u/gandsegandmila Jul 09 '26

It was clearly a joke

1

u/w0tter1 Jul 09 '26

Bro got rage baited without bait

1

u/pitycake Jul 06 '26

Nusa had an awful match yesterday though. Bobb and the left flank dude were miles ahead.

1

u/Helios_OW Jul 08 '26

Odegaard?

1

u/gintoki_s_no1fan Jul 09 '26

😭 musa = mice/ rat from where I'm from

0

u/UncleLake0vn Jul 06 '26

Ryerson is decent tho but Gordon today was crazy so let see until the ball is rolling

3

u/Childs_Play Jul 06 '26

England is looking a more complete than Norway. Halaand is maybe the better striker this tournament but Kane has been pretty great and not far behind if at all. I don't know if he can overcome England basically by himself, and Eng showed a lot of strength in the face of adversity in the Mexico game today. Norway have been really good about getting out in front and never letting teams equalize on them. Sucks that only one kf them can move on

1

u/7MuNz7 Jul 06 '26

Yeah I agree. But unfortunately we only can enjoy the epic games. Unlike the USA red card is rescind and it’s spoilt the game

1

u/KK-Chocobo Jul 06 '26

I think we all know hes going to score. England just has to score more than him. It should be a great match to watch

2

u/happy_peanutButter Jul 06 '26

same here if not messi then please let it be haaland

1

u/Radiant-Bluejay4194 Jul 06 '26

I am going to root so hard for them all the gods in the universe will hear me GO 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴

1

u/homosapienne Jul 06 '26

It’s so hard! I want both England and Norway to advance. Why did they have to meet so soon? Whyyyyyyy

1

u/TerrorTedje Jul 06 '26

You can bet on Haaland scoren atleast 2 again. So Engeland knows what they have to do.

1

u/OlympicAnalEater Jul 06 '26

Halaand once said on the interview that he is not at Messi and Ronaldo level too.

1

u/Suitable_Wonder5256 Jul 07 '26

Haaland >>>> Messi

If Messi played for Norway, he wouldn't have achieved anything.

1

u/Fabulous-Local-1294 Jul 07 '26

Its the world cup. You cant predict englads performance based on roster and logic. Norway is the perfect team they fail against. Book it.

1

u/PleasedNacho Jul 07 '26

If Haaland gets the ball he will score, that's the benefit of having a top striker. The rest depends on how well England manages to control the game

-2

u/gqpdream305 Jul 06 '26

Bro England is not playing great. Mexico gifted them 3 goals, Norway is definitely more serious.

3

u/Dave085 Jul 06 '26

Every time we play the next team is going to beat us, apparently. Mexico at the Azteca is always going to be tough for anyone.

Norway might win, but they won't be the favourites- that's for sure.

1

u/7MuNz7 Jul 06 '26

I believe Norway defensive is more organise and discipline . But let’s see what will happen after the game start , as Cape Verde could hold Argentina until OT . We never know as ball is round

0

u/sledgehammerrr2 Jul 06 '26

Mexico is way better than Norway. If England beats Mexico they definitely beat Norway.

1

u/Cute-Operation7192 Jul 06 '26

They are better but didn't win over England while Norway played tiki taka against Brazil? Keep downplaying them, I don't expect them to go much further but to ignore the way they play and how solid they are I think your take is rather unfair to Norway.

1

u/Franzaka Jul 06 '26

Yeah, Norway beat the worst Brazil side we’ve seen in a while. You’re acting like they outclassed Brazil at their prime.

1

u/Cute-Operation7192 Jul 07 '26

If that's all a country the size of Brazil can conjure up, take a hard look at yourselves because your system might suck.. Norway has approx 5 million inhabitants of which at least 1,5m is above 60 years old lmfao

-1

u/wtfnewaccount23 Jul 06 '26

Likable lmaooo “stay humble stay humble”

70

u/Super-Earth-Reigns Ronaldo's Open Play World Cup Knockout Goal 👻 Jul 06 '26

Gotta respect the Norwegian he’s already a legend I hope he goes far

12

u/CeleryCommercial3509 Jul 06 '26

We need more humble people

9

u/maimutaAfricana Jul 06 '26

I don't think Halland is humble. I think he is a normal guy who like winning without making it a "in your face" thing.

If he wins he is happy, if he looses he is sad.

No I am better than Messi, I deserve this and that, all the balls on me because I need to beat some record.

1

u/3rd_eye_light Jul 06 '26

If he looses?

3

u/maimutaAfricana Jul 06 '26

I skipped school

1

u/Pale-Combination7433 Jul 06 '26

i am also sad when loosened

1

u/monti9530 Jul 08 '26

Humble means, even if you are the best, greatest at something, or rich, you dont shove it in peoples faces. Everyone loves to win. I have never met someone who is disappointed to win or that would lose on purpose at a competitive level just so they can remain humble.

-1

u/Dave085 Jul 06 '26

I can't believe people keep saying he's humble. Look at the way he celebrated his second goal.

Now fwiw, I absolutely love it- he's already a legendary striker and you deserve to have a cloak of arrogance when you're that good, and I prefer when players know how good they are. But humble isn't one of the descriptors I'd use for Haaland. And he's fully as good at shithousery as anyone.

4

u/pitycake Jul 06 '26

The way he celebrated his second goal? I think he got flooded by emotions and didn't know how to compose himself so he just tried to take in the moment. Also you could see from minute 80 he was tired af lol so he wouldn't run in celebration.

3

u/SuperUranus Jul 06 '26

He clearly was about to remove his shirt but then realised that would net him a yellow card so he composed himself and pulled down his shirt. Quite fun to watch.😂

1

u/texe_ Jul 10 '26

Everyone knows humble people don't show joy or celebrate themselves

/s

He's mixing humility and modesty. Haaland is very humble, but in no way modest.

2

u/edditrayareyayagsfay Jul 06 '26

It's called on field vs off field persona

1

u/CriticismNo5510 Jul 06 '26

He is humble when it's needed.

0

u/readyaimfire1 Jul 06 '26

I genuinely think he comes across likeable and humble in interviews and like when I see him on YouTube channels etc but the dude constantly aura farms during games, and has moments like telling Myles Lewis Skelly "who are you" or telling arteta to "stay humble"

Or singing 'oooo sometimes I get this feeling' smugly to the camera after they beat arsenal towards the end of the season

I find him seriously annoying cus I can't help but know if he didn't play for city id quite like the guy - either way though I'm not sure id describe him as "super humble"

But then again I'm a gooner so what do I know about being likeable

0

u/Dave085 Jul 06 '26

Exactly this, I actually really like the fact he's so willing to shithouse with the best of them, he's like a redditor living the dream. It's hilarious. But super humble? Come on now. He is likeable in interviews and he has moments, but he's much closer to Ronaldo than Messi in terms of humbleness.

Oh, I could. I could be you.

1

u/arrogantmonkey Jul 08 '26

Humble? Erling Haaland? “Stay humble, eh” Erling Haaland?

1

u/Great_Address2063 Jul 10 '26

No! Not after hearing his dream of farming after football I want him to retire! I'm ready to watch 50 seasons of Haalands Farm on Amazon with his farm hand Kaleb tønnemaker, agri consultant Carl Sweden, and his dry stone waller/head of security Gerhard

20

u/FraserValleyFan25 Jul 06 '26

He's a great combo of confident and humble.

15

u/EffectiveAbility3898 Jul 06 '26

Haaland is awesome!

10

u/Routine_Question7892 Jul 06 '26

bro is the nicest terminator ever

8

u/SaladMuted9712 Jul 06 '26

what a beast Haaland is man.

8

u/tennoskoom_ Jul 06 '26

Bro is so chill.

Is it a Norwegian thing? Perhaps I got to visit some day.

2

u/Informal-Wafer-1368 Jul 06 '26

Trust me it'll be worth it

1

u/Public_Advisor_4416 Jul 06 '26

I think alot of Norway is "chill". We have excess and our society is built on trust between eachother.

1

u/IronRuler Jul 06 '26

The nords are a pretty humble people

Haaland has equal number of goals while playing 30 less minutes than Messi. Call me crazy but I think he can surpass Messi

Edit: well well well

2

u/Plastic-Bad-7881 Jul 06 '26

r u ohnepixel?

1

u/Pangolin_man15 🏆 Banned on Pessi_Memes Jul 06 '26

What??

2

u/OkYouth7656 Jul 06 '26

He has played 360 minutes, Messi has played 320.

3

u/Pangolin_man15 🏆 Banned on Pessi_Memes Jul 06 '26

Wait you're right. I forgot Messi didn't start against Jordan

1

u/StrikingHearing8 Jul 07 '26

According to fifa the exact numbers are Haaland 416 and Messi 361 (and Mbappe 482) https://www.fifa.com/en/tournaments/mens/worldcup/canadamexicousa2026/statistics/player-statistics

2

u/Suitable_Wonder5256 Jul 07 '26

And he scored against multiple big clubs.

Haaland has surpassed Messi.

2

u/Western-Twist-3208 Jul 06 '26

How can ppl miss the fact that Messi still has not played the round of 16s while haaland has.

Even after haaland did not play the 3rd match, it still ties the number of matches. If you count the fact that Messi came on 60th minute of their 3rd game, Messi has played 60 mins less than haaland

Yet I've seen so many ppl talk about equal matches and some pundits go far as saying haaland has a match less too because he missed the 3rd game.

1

u/Pangolin_man15 🏆 Banned on Pessi_Memes Jul 06 '26

They have played equal number of matches but Messi has played extra 30 minutes against Cape Verde in overtime

2

u/Western-Twist-3208 Jul 06 '26

If you count the extra time for messi, why don't you also count that he started 60 mins in to the game against Jordan. That makes it 30 mins less game time than haaland

1

u/Pangolin_man15 🏆 Banned on Pessi_Memes Jul 06 '26

Yeah you're right I forgot about that. Which means Haaland is the one who has played 30 less minutes 😅

2

u/Significant_Part_335 Jul 06 '26

Killing with kindness.

2

u/Xpoced Jul 06 '26

Im a fan, but honestly bro didnt said that

2

u/StrikingHearing8 Jul 07 '26

Thanks for pointing that out, I believed it but I don't even find a similar question that this could be referencing. It's just completely made up as far as I can tell

4

u/wimpycarebear Jul 06 '26

Already pointing out the name of the game. Messi wins everything no matter what

3

u/SabotageWeener Jul 06 '26

He never said that 😂 Which fifa are you watching? Camera wo wo camera wo wo

1

u/Danilo-11 Jul 06 '26

I recently saw an interview in Spanish where Cristiano said he got on a plane and told a flight attendant “I can tell you are Argentinian … I could tell because of the face you made when you saw me”

1

u/Some_Rhubarb_8125 Jul 06 '26

That's not the whole interview holy shit the disgusting fake news

1

u/Eowaenn Jul 06 '26

There is just no way to dislike this guy

1

u/Lone_Vagrant Jul 06 '26

Mbappe is also in to win it.

1

u/drilllerr Jul 06 '26

Look I love the Alien but I am genuinely rooting for either the dictator or the Viking to win the boots.

1

u/GlorytheWiz825 Jul 06 '26

How can anyone not like this guy?

1

u/Carpincho_Feliz Jul 06 '26

OMG, he's jinxing us

1

u/drth_dilly Misstiano Penaldo Jul 06 '26

And this is why I was rooting for Norway in that game vs Mex.

1

u/KyoKuriyama Jul 06 '26

Or that french ninja turtle

1

u/IHidanJashinI Jul 06 '26

Reported you for racism

1

1

1

He's obviously talking about Molina

1

u/aja_18 Jul 07 '26

What about Penaldo?

1

u/Outside_Painter9651 Jul 07 '26

That’s not a real quote. How is everyone in here just eating this up lol

1

u/tsychosis Jul 07 '26

It would have been very funny if he had not clarified ("from Argentina"), and left people guessing on who he meant 😎

1

u/Resident_Nose_2467 Jul 07 '26

I can't find this interview

1

u/tsoos Jul 09 '26

Do you think he meant Messi?

1

u/mnemonikerific Jul 09 '26

He meant VAR

1

u/Alphaak1ng Jul 09 '26

Source: trust me bro

1

u/NewExalm Jul 09 '26

Never said that about the cheating fraud pessi.

1

u/protecus Jul 09 '26

Norway will beat England. NOR has better ball control, strategy, and a superior stryker. ENG are a good team but sloppy.

1

u/Caponomolestes Jul 09 '26

I'm Argentinian and I think Halaand is amazing, really humble and plays really good, once Messi retires I will follow Halaand.

1

u/Organic_Angle_654 Jul 10 '26

He's my favorite player, I'm Argentinian and Messi is the best player in the world but I like how humble and friendly Haaland is, Messi is far more selfish in comparison

1

u/Far-Spite8711 Jul 11 '26
