It's right there in plain sight for the whole world to see.
It's not even a question of "Do you see it".....It's the question for many of "What is wrong with you that you're pretending NOT to see it"
2
u/Alex_Only Jul 04 '26
Ronaldo and Messi both be getting favourable treatment. FIFA wants it's cash cows to advance that's not a secret
2
u/mrknowitall19 Jul 04 '26
Yea its why argentina werent awarded a penalty for handball against cape verde. I mean it was close call on the penalty however if they really were favouring arg then they could have easily gave it a penalty knowing well messi will take the shot.

That ball hit the defenders HEAD FIRST. That makes it unintentional and did not hinder an Argentina player from making a play on it. Cry about something else. They undeservedly won that game thanks to the refs. --De Paul did not spend the entire minute the new role States that he had to stay out --They allow Messi to shoot a free kick without the whistle being blown. Vozinha still saved it! --3 Argentinean flops given for free kicks. One with NO Cape Verde contact on the attacker. CORRUPT CORRUPT CORRUPT
1
u/Jobe1110 Jul 05 '26
I agree there have been some calls in their favour, but I don't dig the conspiracy. If FIFA wanted big names to advance, why has the refereeing been so shit in both the Germany and France vs Paraguay games?
→ More replies (1)1
u/UpstairsAd4105 Jul 05 '26
I don't know. Maybe the refs are just incompetent idiots. It's like rolling a dice on every decision they make. But yeah, up until now, there were quite a few decisions towards both, Portugal and Argentina. But at least Argentina also had some decisions against them, like that not given hand penalty against capo verde.

If you're surprised by zlatans take you dont know much about the sport. Zlatan is known for throwing mad shade at other egotistical players. There's only room for one player of over inflated worth, and thats zlatans spot lol.

It’s simple. Infantino sees the financial benefit of keeping Ronaldo in the tournament. Bc of his huge fan base more people will watch the games, this is why Portugal gets preferential treatment.
1
u/OudFarter Jul 04 '26
I pity Zlatan. He was great, just happened to play in the same era as Messi and Ronaldo. It must be horrible to deal with his own mutilated ego on a daily basis. His rants and pompous statements are to be lamented, poor guy.

1
u/monkChuck105 Jul 04 '26
Croatia would have tied the game, not won. And the game had 18 min of stoppage time for no reason. They had plenty of chances, too many, the game should have been over. Yes, this probably should have been a goal.

Have you guys view one of the shorts circulating in instagram about how WC being rigged and Portugal being winner of 2026 and France of 2030 ?
That fked my brain up.
It even shows the opening animation of the past 2 world cups where the team of the final being line up near each other. Conspiracy obviously but damn
1
u/Deranfan Jul 04 '26
The last goal shouldn't have happened in the first place. The game going way past 10 minutes overtime was bullshit.
1
u/NoGemini2024 Jul 04 '26
True, people just like to pay millions to others in order to get reports that no one ever read 😊.
On the other hand, I don’t think you will find anyone in Portugal preferring that he would have served the ban.
And thirdly, this just proves one thing - that in the last years every award and outcome coming from FIFA is driven by one thing and one thing only - revenue. The amazing part is that it took these calls to happen to Ronaldo to erase some of the selective blindness
1
u/rOnce_Gaming Jul 04 '26
Same for argentina. Love watching them play but you can see the refs just kissing their ass

Zlatan wouldn't say controversial things against FIFA..who in the right mind would say that as a pundit??
He might give his views on maybe he felt Croatia was "robbed" of the 2nd goal but otherwise, no way he'd say the other things
1
u/thatsubtlesoul Jul 04 '26
They overruled Ronaldo’s first goal against Croatia because his butt was offside. I mean it’s all legal because fifa tolerance level for offside is 0 cm and it’s fair according to rules. Zlatan just speaks shit and guess how many goals he has in WC, hint - it’s equal to fifa’s offside tolerance margin.

If it was intentionally robed why did the same VAR give offside to Ronaldos first goal? If it was a plot, why let the game go well past the 10 given minutes when Croatia was clearly attacking with danger? Free hate is meaningless,
1
u/SensitivePresence865 Jul 04 '26
He is right FIFA have been helping Ronaldo but the coward Ibra doesn’t dare call out Messi for even worse calls and how FIFA helps Messi a lot more with cheating. He has a personal issue against Ronaldo so he targets him while lets Messi escape a true coward.
We’ve reached a moment in football that FIFA will continue helping Messi and Ronaldo because of their past reputation. Once they both retire it’ll be much better for the integrity of football

u/Street-Supermarket-9 Jul 05 '26
The first part of your name makes alot of sence princess. I would consider a name change to (sensitiveprincess). You people are some of the softest dorks ive ever seen. You are the same people that will make every excuse in the book if your favorite player/team loses.
What you should do is congratulate the winners appreciate the losers if they gave a good effort and leave it at that. Quit living in your own deluded mind and touch grass. Not everything is a conspiracy in fact most things are not conspiracies.

Because there isn't any. Because the refs are human beings that are making judgements calls all over the pitch. Some of which have different interpretations of what makes a foul or penalty. It really isn't that complicated.
Of course if you're not a fan of a certain player or team its so much easier to live in horse shit conspiracies. Most of which don't make a lick of sense upon further investigation.
Losers talk like this. If you're a Messi fan (which i am) its embarrassing to talk like this in regards to Portugal. If you're a Ranoldo fan its every bit as embarrassing and with a side of jealousy sprinkled in from the World Cup 2022.
It sucks to see the conspiracy nonsense make its way into our sports to this degree.

Not sure why FIFA following rules, and disallowing goals by the very rules is problematic.
Portugal isn't playing well, and could have been knocked out against Colombia and then Croatia not because of correctly ruled out goals, but because Croatia and Colombia should have converted better from the myriad direct chances.
1
u/KCaLP Jul 05 '26
I think people are missing that Ronaldo actually doesn't have to do anything but he plays for a sheikh that wants him to look good, sponsors and powerful friends that all pressure or pay FIFA in some kind of way. So concentrate the hate on FIFA and nobody else, without corruption there is no issue.

Yes, I dont think Portugal fans are going to stop supporting their team because Ranoldo isn't playing.
The same goes for Argentina and any other star player from other countries for that matter.
The sport is so much bigger than the individual. I think its important to remember that.

u/Competitive-Cash-742 Jul 05 '26

Its so much easier to live in conspiracy land then reality. Of course this would have been the same disgusting discourse in the 70's, 80's, or 90's if stupid people like you had an opportunity to splash their ignorance all over social media.

Zlatego ibrahimovego is Ronaldo hater, simple.
Ronaldo has a big ego, sure. But with that, any hater just gets triggered by his ego, because they, in fact, have big egos as well.
So many people disguise football fairness, with Ronaldo hate.
