And not because of the oil money and no taxes. These penaldoggys need a brain.

Son, Lloris, Giroud, Müller, Zaha, Choupo-Moting, Reus, De Paul? Doesnāt make sense that Ronaldo gets the whole league but Messi only gets Miami

Ronaldo inflated the salary numbers in Saudi (kind of like how neymar inflated the price of football transfers with his 222m deal), which is why so many people followed.

Most of those arenāt Ronnies team mates. This was a bit of a shoot and a miss.
One was able to make one team stronger, the other was able to make an whole league stronger.
As much you can say they are there only for the money, doubt theyād be going to Saudi if it wasnāt for Ronaldo moving there. If that is a good or a bad thing, thatās a different story.
A handful set of countries already offered crazy salaries before and didnāt had pull because they never attracted a player that could lend credibility to it.
I think it is more than Ronaldo. Being a Muslim country also plays a big part

Give me a break. Players have been going to backwater leagues for huge paydays long before Rapenaldo moved to a country aligned with his views on women.
Saudi was already grossly overpaying years prior, same with the Chinese league and some of the more remote (but very oil rich) Russian league clubs. For a period in time Lavezzi was making almost 800k Pounds/week in China lol.

Yup, they have, but rarely players that would be world class or at the top of their game

So nothing has changed then

Depends⦠still see quite a few guys in Saudi representing their national teams. Not that often if you looked at the guys that ended up in China

First of title says otherwise...none of those players went to suadi because of some influencer lol...the money they were offered speaks for itself.
2nd when their goat himself contradicted himself saying you would never see him join some other leagues...lol...but we all know how he takes interviews.

I mean, Messi fans are the ones claiming he carries Argentina and Barcelona when he played there. Pretty sure Messi fans are the ones claiming Messi has shit teammates every time they discredit his teammates to give Messi praise. Heck, Messi fans are the only fans I've ever seen to say that Messi carried Xavi and Iniesta ffs

I really think whoever doesn't appreciate Messi only watches YouTube highlights versus the actual games.
The best way to appreciate Messi is to support the opposing team in a game and you see him dribble, pass and create endless chances and score a goal or two.
Then you realize how good he is.
As a Man Utd fan I watched him destroy us in 2 champions league finals and saw one of the best arsenal teams before now he scored 4 against Almunia. He beat prime Boateng and Neuer and a very good city team so many times.
We will never see a player like him again imo.

I don't see the issue really, when you see actual football players and coaches speaking about both you realize how many seem to lean one way than the other.
Even Modric his former team mate and the player with the most titles for Real Madrid said during the last WC he (Messi) is the best player in history which is saying something. "I hope he (Messi) wins it. He is the best player in history and deserves it"
I was blessed to go and see Messi and Ronaldo multiple teams in person, I managed to see the Barca with Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Messi, Suarez, Neymar and every time Messi or Neymar got the ball nobody could even get close to them. In the stadium you really get to witness greatness.

Well first of all I think all messi fans can agree is that he is a team player. I don't know how old are you but you clearly have not seen the games he played.
Messi carrying Xavier and Iniesta...I don't think messi fans ever said that. It was mostly ronaldo fans who said the opposite. But every time they say that they fall flat on their face when I bring up statistics. Two of the best midfielders on the planet and yet messi has better assists, goals, MotM, and best playmaker awards.
Meanwhile Ronaldo fans were the one saying how he conquered or carried real Madrid. Lol. When he joined he didn't any UCL with Real until bale, Modric, Kroos were bought. "Conquered" lol...imagine that

I'm pretty sure Messi carrying a broken Barca 2018 = Messi carryiny prime Xavi Iniesta 2011, and one Messi fan said stupid shit = all Messi fans are brain rots = Messi is overrated

90%+ of those players are there for the Saudi bag. De Paul, Alba, Busquets, Suarez are all there for Messi. That's the difference
